Today we’d like to introduce you to LR Wilson. Them and their team share their story with us below:
LR WILSON is a CEO, Empowerment Lifestyle Coach, Motivational Speaker, Blogger, Author, Plus Size Model, Ghostwriter, Lead Media Correspondent, and Columnist for Pretty Women Hustle Magazine as well as part of the core team. Her most important roles of all are mother and NaNa.
She was a teenage mother and gave birth to her first child, a daughter, at 16 years old. The marriage following the birth of her daughter dissipated less than two years later. She went on to marry again at age 27 and out of the union three sons were born. Some 20+ years later, she found herself back in front of a judge as the second marriage dissolved. Prior to the official divorce, she suffered from depression, suicidal ideation, drug, and alcohol abuse to cope with the pain.
Through it all, she was able to find herself again! In 2020 she became the proud owner of LR WILSON CONSULTING LLC where she is an Empowerment Lifestyle Coach and Motivational Speaker. LR WILSON CONSULTING LLC offers Empowerment Life Coaching Services for Coachees in their personal and professional lives with a focus on goal setting. Goal setting is done through Empowerment Blueprinting which is a unique concept offered exclusively at LR WILSON CONSULTING LLC.
She is the founder and creator of S.H.E.E. (Sisters Healing Evolving and Empowered) which is a group on Facebook. Out of this group, she published her first book the S.H.E.E. JOURNAL in 2019 which is a journal of affirmations instilling self-love in every reader.
In 2020, she launched the Empowerment Planner with monthly goal sheets and Empowerment Coaching Worksheets.
Yes Girl Yes! Goodie Boxes hit the ground in 2021. Goodie boxes have unique products to EMPOWER each consumer. Every other month a different themed box of goodies arrives. Yes Girl Yes!! was featured on Cora Jakes Coleman Showcase and Off The Wire.
LR WILSON is no stranger to the media spotlight. She appeared as a Speaker on Soul Circle Bootcamp in 2020. Followed by appearances on the Real Talk Podcast with T. Holmes and The Chronicles of Doing Too Much with Angel Riley in 2021. Most recently, she was featured on the cover of September 2021 issue of Pretty Women Hustle Magazine. Her show Live & Direct with LR WILSON debuted on the Pretty Women Hustle platform in September 2021 also where she interviews prominent established and up and coming entrepreneurs on IG Live under Pretty Women Hustle Magazine.
She released two eBooks in the Spring/Summer of 2021 entitled “How To Live An Empowered Life Guide” and “My Anxiety Workbook”. In August of 2021, she released the “Gratitude Journal – 31 Days of Gratefulness” through Amazon.
She has successfully held two Empowerment conferences in 2018 and 2019 under the Channeling Tequila #findYOURhappy umbrella which is the name of her blog. The third and biggest Empowerment conference of all will be held July 2022!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a smooth road being an entrepreneur, working a full-time job, and taking care of the daily responsibilities of a household. Some of the struggles encountered are paying for a lot of business expenses out of my own pocket, maintaining a steady client base, and just simply learning the ropes of being a business owner with very little direction from those who have been successful; however, are not willing to Pro Bono business information to help guide newer business owners in their journey. I’m grateful for those who believe in my vision and support it by offering to help me wherever they can.
The challenges and lessons I’ve learned along the way have really been eye opening. First off the challenges I’ve had along the way are making sure you continually are engaging your audience until you get in front of the right audience that will believe in your brand enough to be a part of it. Whether it’s booking a life coaching session or purchasing your merchandise. Secondly, staying taped into the right audience and knownng when to expand that audience to get in front of an entirely different demographic. My program serves a wide age range, 16-65, so I have to be able to touch each of those ages in a different way to appeal to them.
The lessons I’ve learned is that not everyone will support you and that especially includes family and friends. One would expect those to be your main supporters but that’s not the case. Yes of course you will have a few that will get everything you put out, whether they need it or not…that would be my mom and I’m grateful for her support at the same time you want to make sure you’re helping those who really need it and they won’t bite. My biggest supporters have been strangers that I’ve met along the way. They’ve purchased packages,, merchandise, provided insight, ideas, advice etc to continue to build my brand and I’m forever grateful for their support as well. Lastly, the biggest lesson of all I learned was nobody will believe in me or my brand without my approval. I’m constantly trying something new to stay relevant and out there so that forces me to keep going even when I want to quit because I know I’m good at what I do and God gave me this mission for a reason…not a season.
We’ve been impressed with LR WILSON CONSULTING LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
LR WILSON CONSULTING LLC is an Empowerment Coaching business that assist Coachees with attaining goals that they are struggling to achieve. This process is done through Empowerment Blueprinting. An Empowerment Blueprint is included with every package and is exclusively at LR WILSON CONSULTING LLC. Empowerment Blueprinting is what sets me apart from others. It is unique because of the different leveled focus areas to achieve maximum time management, accountability, and goal setting success. In addition to Empowerment Blueprinting, depending on the need, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy is included to assist the Coachee in positive mind transformation, self-talk, and consistency to change their outlook and achieve goals set forth.
I am most proud brand-wise of how when people hear my name, they know without a doubt that I am cheering for them. I will carry them across the finish line if I have to. I have built a brand that is more than just goal setting. It’s about Empowerment, Self-Love, and believing you are worthy of all things that come your way because you’re the gift!
I want the readers to know that my brand has and will continue to revolve around allowing clients to show up uniquely and there is nothing wrong with that. My mantra is “YOU ALREADY HAVE WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED!” I offer different levels of Empowerment Lifestyle Coaching packages based on weeks of service. I also just implemented group sessions for those who haven’t decided whether or not they are ready for one-on-one sessions or it doesn’t fit into their budget at this time. They get a scaled-down program for 6 weeks that give them a glimpse into the one-on-one Coaching sessions. This allows potential clients to tap into their potential and moreover sign up for the one-on-one sessions because that fear is gone and they are ready to dig deeper.
What’s next?
My plans for the future are to 1) acquire an office space because right now everything is done virtually; 2) hire an assistant who has the same passion that I have about helping people to be successful in whatever their definition of success is; 3) expand my business by hiring other coaches and finally to open a non-profit organization.
I am definitely looking forward to my Empowerment Conference in Cabos San Lucas Mexico in July 2022. I’m currently looking for sponsors and have sponsorship packages available for those interested in being a part of this dynamic event to help women find their way to rejuvenation! The conference itself is being offered free of charge and it’s a family event! The caveat is that only females can attend the conference portion each day for a few hours. Conference attendees are only responsible for their hotel and airfare to which I have a designated travel agent who is handling all of that. It is going to be epic!
