Community Highlights: Meet Taylor Tix of Taylor & Co Health and Wellness Boutique

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Tix.

Hi Taylor, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The year 2020 was life-changing for me. Like many, I was navigating the uncertainty of COVID, but I was also dealing with something far more personal—my husband, Cole, tragically passed away in an accident. He was truly the love of my life, and losing him shook my entire world.

In the midst of that grief, I found comfort in something we both had always loved: candles. I started making them myself, and what began as a small creative outlet quickly became a form of therapy. Through that process, I discovered not only emotional healing but also a deeper awareness of the toxins present in many everyday products. That realization sparked a vision—to create candles and wellness products that were not just natural and non-toxic, but also deeply intentional and healing.

In 2022, this passion led to the founding of Taylor & Co Health and Wellness Boutique, named in part to honor Cole. My mom, who shares my passion for holistic healing, joined me on this journey, and together we built a brand rooted in wellness, self-care, and authenticity. We wanted to offer not just products, but experiences—tools to support others on their own healing paths.

In 2023, I became a certified Reiki Practitioner and then a Reiki Master Teacher. Now, through Taylor & Co’s Reiki Healing Practice, I combine energy healing with intentional products and holistic wellness education. I’m also currently studying Ayurveda and Yoga, which will further deepen my ability to serve others on a mind-body-soul level.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road. The biggest turning point—and the most difficult moment of my life—was losing my husband, Cole, in 2020. His passing was sudden and devastating, and trying to navigate that level of grief while the world was already in chaos due to the pandemic was incredibly overwhelming. There were days I struggled just to find meaning or motivation in everyday life.

Starting this business was never part of some grand plan—it was born from a very personal place of loss and healing. Learning how to run a business while still grieving, dealing with emotional ups and downs, and figuring out how to bring a vision to life without compromising my values was challenging. But through it all, the process of creating—especially making candles—became my therapy. Each step came with learning curves, but they also brought moments of growth, purpose, and a deepened passion for helping others heal.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At Taylor & Co Health and Wellness Boutique, we craft natural wellness products and offer healing services designed to support holistic transformation—mind, body, and spirit. Our specialties include hand-poured non-toxic candles, natural skincare, pain relief solutions, a thoughtfully curated Outdoor Lovers Collection, among many other products. Every product is infused with Reiki healing energy, amplifying its intention and therapeutic effect. We also provide personal healing sessions to support emotional release, energetic alignment, and deep restoration.

Everything we do is rooted in mindfulness, clean living, and the belief that true healing involves mind, body and soul.

What sets us apart is our heart-centered approach. Every product is crafted with intention—not just to smell good or look pretty—but to evoke healing, presence, and peace. Our Reiki Healing Practice provides a nurturing, safe space for releasing energetic blockages, processing emotional pain, and reconnecting with one’s true self.

We go beyond products and services by creating wellness experiences that support the whole person. Weekly, we host Centergy classes—a yoga-Pilates fusion that builds strength, balance, and flexibility while calming the nervous system—as well as high-energy bootcamp-style workouts that challenge and empower the body in everyday life. These movement-based offerings complement our healing philosophy by encouraging people to feel strong, connected, and promote self love.

We’re also deeply passionate about restorative self-care, which is why we offer retreats, including our upcoming Self-Care Adventure Retreat in Costa Rica in 2026—an immersive, soul-nourishing experience combining nature, movement, healing, and community in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

And we’re thrilled to share the success of our newest product launch—Tallow Body Butter—a rich, deeply hydrating balm that’s flying off the shelves. It’s become a customer favorite for its luxurious texture, nourishing ingredients, and the way it makes people feel cared for in their own skin.

What I’m most proud of is how authentically our brand reflects our story, our values, and our purpose. We’re not just selling products; we’re creating moments of healing and empowerment—through intentional offerings, supportive practices, and a vibrant community devoted to living well.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Yes, I regularly turn to a blend of books, guided practices, and digital resources that support my personal growth, mindfulness, and overall well-being—both in life and at work. A few foundational books that continue to inspire me are The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz for its timeless wisdom on personal freedom, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho for its encouragement to follow your personal legend, and The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk, which deepened my understanding of how trauma lives in the body—essential knowledge for working in the healing space.

I also love Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Dispenza and Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch for their powerful insights into consciousness and spiritual alignment. Dr. Vasant Lad’s work on Ayurveda is a constant reference for natural healing and balance in daily routines.

As someone with a nursing background, I bring a research-informed lens to everything I do. I use my “nursing brain” to critically evaluate peer-reviewed studies and clinical data, ensuring that the natural products we create—from skincare to pain relief balms—are backed by science, not just trends. This evidence-based approach allows me to blend modern health insights with ancient healing traditions in a way that’s both safe and effective.

In terms of audio content, I frequently listen to the Huberman Lab podcast by Dr. Andrew Huberman. His neuroscience-backed discussions on mental health, focus, sleep, and the nervous system have helped me bring a more scientific lens to natural wellness practices. I also enjoy Jay Shetty’s podcast for spiritual and emotional wisdom that bridges both ancient philosophy and modern self-care.

In day-to-day life, I use apps like Insight Timer and Calm for guided meditations and affirmations, and I follow wellness blogs that focus on clean living and intentional self-care. These resources keep me aligned with our mission: to provide healing, high-integrity products and services that empower people to care for themselves naturally and holistically.
