Today we’d like to introduce you to Terri Groom.
Hi Terri, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I am the youngest of five children raised in upstate New York. My upbringing is what led me to write my book entitled, “Altered Grace.” Even as a small child, I had a set of “additional senses,” definitely beyond the usual, sight, hearing, smelling, and tasting. I could easily see what I now refer to as energy. Prior to that, I would have called them; “others, dark people, ghosts, and see-throughs. My turbulent childhood included many deep and dark secrets well guarded by my mother and father. Their need for control spilled out into the farming community in which I was raised. My parents were known as pillars of the community, business owners, and at other times behind closed doors referred to as, “secretive and strange, possibly dangerous.” Fast forward to adulthood. My developing gifts from childhood began to take on new meanings.
I became aware that what I was experiencing went far beyond simple intuition. I could see a “ghost.” I could hear them, smell them and know where they were standing or passing through. I later developed further, recognizing that there is a difference between ghosts and spirits. I now could communicate readily with them. Throughout the years, my healing came with my ability to help those from the other side. I also began to help the loved ones grieving with messages. My work isn’t done, though. I am also a Medical Empath, Animal Communicator, Pure Channel, Intuitive, and yes, most definitely, a Medium. I teach and guide others through their journey all around the globe. I am blessed to have clients, now friends in many different parts of the world. My work isn’t done. I will continue
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Never a smooth road. My struggles early on came from isolation, distrust, lack of a loving family, and a great deal of FEAR. Staying alive was a gift that I realized at a young age could be taken away. In adulthood, I have had many learning opportunities for growth.
I have a loving family of my own now. I have a wide circle of trustworthy friends and I feel that my work and my efforts make a difference. A smooth road, it is now.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Vita Perceptions (pronounced… veeta) means Life Perceptions. Vita is Latin for life. I pride myself on doing Life Coaching from the Other Side. Yes, taking cues and guidance from the spirit world to best help my clients. I never know where we will be led during a session. Sometimes we focus on health, family, finances, love, and spirituality. I go where I am led to go through my deep connection and admiration of and from the spirit world. I am genuine.
That is what sets me apart. This isn’t a game, nor a race to the finish line. I am not always accurate, I am human. My motto is, “If my messages make sense to my client then thank my guides. If it did not, I take responsibility as I didn’t hear correctly. I am blessed at being a pretty good listener. Life is meant to be a joyous experience. It is meant to be a safe place to discover. Life out loud is what I truly believe in for all of us.
