Conversations with Allyce Kozlowski

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allyce Kozlowski.

Hi Allyce, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The Warren Collection is a vintage home decor business that specializes in bringing warmth and history to your home.

As a child, thrifting and ‘treasure hunting’ were always a part of life. Garage sales were a weekend adventure with my mom or grandma, and that early love for finding pieces with history never really left me. I’ve always been the friend who throws the baby showers, decorates for special occasions, and even does the flowers for weddings — creating warm, meaningful spaces has just always been in my nature.

When I became a mom myself, I found myself craving something that was my own — something creative, fulfilling, and rooted in the design and vintage pieces I’ve always loved. What started as sharing a small booth at a market with a friend slowly grew into a business. I began doing more vendor events, experimenting with my style, and learning what I truly wanted my work to represent.

Six years later, I’ve grown into my brand — a warm blend of vintage naturalism, handmade decor, and curated, story-rich pieces. I now participate in markets throughout the year and have three local retail locations that carry my goods, which has been such a gift. I have also been able to utilize my love for party planning and decorating by offering vintage rentals and services.

Finding and creating special pieces that people bring into their homes — pieces that help make a house feel like a home — feels like such an honor. It still amazes me that something that started with childhood treasure hunts and a love for meaningful design has become The Warren Collection today.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of my biggest struggles in business has been learning how to work with my ADHD. I’m naturally very creative and ideas-driven, which is a huge asset — it’s why I can see potential in vintage pieces, design quickly, and bring a clear vision to my brand. But ADHD can make the operational side of business more challenging. Managing details, inventory, and deadlines doesn’t always come naturally, so I’ve had to be intentional about building structure and systems that support me.

Another challenge has been my own self-doubt. I’ve realized that sometimes I am my biggest obstacle — questioning whether I’m doing enough, growing fast enough, or making the right decisions. But learning to recognize that and move through it has been part of my growth as a business owner.

Balancing creativity with structure, and confidence with vulnerability, has pushed me to become more self-aware and more intentional in how I run my business. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s made me stronger and more grounded in the long run. Being open about that feels important, because many creative entrepreneurs experience the same thing. My ADHD brings both challenges and strengths, and learning to balance the two has made me a stronger, more self-aware business owner.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My brand grew from a love of vintage charm, natural textures, and all the little details that make a home feel personal. I focus on designing and curating pieces that carry a sense of warmth and create a cozy home.

Over the years, my work has expanded beyond just selling decor. I create seasonal outdoor pieces like wreaths and porch pots, I participate in markets throughout the year, and I now have several retail locations that carry my goods. I’ve also been growing into assisting with event decorating and rentals, which has been such a natural extension of what I love — creating spaces that feel thoughtful, warm, and special.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the community this work has brought me into. Being in this creative world connected me with other small business owners, and together three of us have started “Destination Handmade” to plan markets with intention and heart. Hosting events that celebrate local makers and bring people together has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.

Looking back, I’m proud that my brand has stayed true to who I am — rooted in nostalgia, design, craftsmanship, and connection — and that it’s grown into something that touches both homes and community.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something that my new connections might not realize is that The Warren Collection is actually a very new rebrand, even though the heart of it has been with me since childhood, The name comes from Warren Township, which is where I was born and raised. My business was originally named AK Designs, but it never really felt right.

People often assume the brand has been around for years, but really it is a fresh chapter. One that circles back to where my story started. Naming it after where I grew up felt like honoring the roots of why I create the way I do.
