Today we’d like to introduce you to Bill Staxx
Hi Bill , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was a former gang member I was born and raised in Bristol Connecticut when I was 13 years old I got into some trouble stealing cars and I ended up in prison on and off for the next 20 years I got sober 6 years ago and my life started to change I took and still do take my sobriety serious. I created a podcast on YouTube and Patreon called Chattin with Staxx Show where I interview people from all walks of life from organized crime members ex gang members to A-list actors like Jack O’Holloran from King Kong and Superman, Larry Hankin from the show Friends and escape from Alcatraz some of the cast from the Sopranos I’ve met people like 50 Cent and Mike Tyson I was discovered through my podcast and was offered a job DJing and being a host in Minneapolis Minnesota about 2 1/2 years ago I went to George Floyd’s neighborhood where he was killed, and I interviewed people in the community about the situation I DJ countless events I was the DJ at the seville Gentlemens club I was also the DJ at The 1029 Bar for quite some time I got offered a role in a big budget movie called the undesirables with Matt Damon and Casey Affleck in Boston Mass so I started pursuing an acting career. I’ve been another movie called Nadia’s request along side Robert Miano from Donnie Brasco . I played a hitman named Caine I have been blessed with so many opportunities and I couldn’t of done it without my sobriety so my goal is to show other people that they can do it to. I had dreams to do the things I’m doing today. Sometimes I can’t believe that I made it to where I am today, and I want to share that gift with other people,
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
At times it was a struggle it hasn’t been easy but it’s worth it. I’ve had a lot of knows from people that wanted to interview there’s been times I’ve been tired and didn’t want to do the things that I had to do to get to where I am today but the thing is you have to push yourself to do the uncomfortable to be comfortable in the future, I understand the difficulty on being sober and getting to that point it was very hard I struggled with alcoholism and drug addiction for a long time, and I never thought in 1 million years that I would have the life that I have today
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a host on my show on YouTube Chattin with Staxx I’ve interviewed Chuck Ladell, Randy Couture , Mike Tyson, Hall of Fame, photographer Don Maguire, actor in UFC fighter Cung Lee, Nick and Nate Diaz’s coach, Dan Black, Ken Shamrock , Ex Hells Angels president Minnesota/California/Las Vegas chapter
Charles PeeWee Goldsmith X Philadelphia, sergeant at arms, Hells Angel Repo Rod Ect now I am pursuing my acting career which is going pretty well. I also write Scripps I have a movie in the works. I should start filming in about a month. I have a TV show called Uber Mafia that I’m in the process of filming right now I have four episodes done.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Doing what you love that makes you happy getting to a place where it’s not worth to you anymore you enjoy doing what you’re doing and that’s success to me trying something failing and continuing to work at is the meaning to success to me
