Conversations with Brodie Perro

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brodie Perro.

Hi Brodie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I play guitar in the band Nectarous. We started writing music together during the Summer of 2020 while most of the world was shut down due to the pandemic. Once things opened back up, we have been performing live and releasing music ever since.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We haven’t been without our struggles, but I do feel we have been blessed to have had many great experiences so far. We’ve had our share of canceled shows here and there, but we’ve also been able to tour around the U.S. and play our music to many new faces in the process. We persevere and I believe that gets us to such high places despite any setback that comes our way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Nectarous is a good old fashioned hard rock band. Admittedly we aren’t reinventing the wheel here, but we are proudly carrying the rock n roll torch for the current generation. I think we are able to craft tunes that don’t stay strictly within the expected template. We can pack odd time signatures, moments of soul, and vast amounts of energy into our music, while still being able to create the type of rock tune we think has been missing from today’s radio stations. Like I said, we aren’t the first band to write in this genre, but I do feel confident that we are representing a side that hasn’t been very prominent for quite a while.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
There’s not one specific memory that comes to mind, I’m just fond of the family I grew up with and have been able to maintain a relationship with into adulthood.
