Conversations with Christina Underkoffler and Libbie Junker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Underkoffler and Libbie Junker! They and their team shared their story with us below:

Peachiie Marketing (“Peachiie”), simply put, is a COVID baby! Christina was the Marketing Manager for a local Minnesota craft brewery for many years, whereas Libbie’s roles were in the corporate space. Prior to the launch of Peachiie, they would often be asked by friends, peers, community members, etc. for “marketing help”. Between those requests and the flexibility Covid provided (working remotely, some lay-off time, etc.), they put their heads together to formalize a business they were passionate about, and one that felt like it was somewhat  already in motion naturally.

Originally Peachiie was launched with the intention of it being a side hustle, but it quickly turned into a full-time gig and both made the decision to quit their full-time jobs in April of 2022 after working full-time jobs and Peachiie for a year or so. The Peachiie team is small but mighty! Together, Libbie and Christina have a combination of 14+ years of marketing experience across a large breadth of skills and capabilities. “We are the Yin to each other’s Yang!”, said Christina.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
“There are always going to be struggles along any path worth going down, in my opinion”, said Libbie. One of the duo’s biggest challenges has been building trust and rapport with business leaders, owners and operators because they, “are so young”. Peachiie works hard at proving their value and overcoming that perception. They combat it by sharing this perspective: In a space like marketing, it is constantly evolving with trends and as more tools become available. What once worked, “back in the day”, probably won’t work anymore. Having youthful, fresh perspectives is a must in marketing. Years of experience does not always mean expertise in the case of marketing, and the ability to strategize does not always equal the ability to execute all components.

The decision to go all-in was another challenge the duo faced. Christina was extremely close with the brewing crew – like family –  and obviously, there is a lot of fear in leaving a comfy, consistent paycheck with benefits.

“Building our own business, processes and marketing ourselves alongside marketing for other people simultaneously can be really tough. We chuckle at the figure of speech, ‘the cobbler’s children have no shoes’, because it’s so true! We have worked double time to get our foundational building blocks in place while also giving value and results to our clients! We time block our calendars to be the most efficient, and we do a lot of affirmations to stay positive and engaged!” Said Libbie.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
