Today we’d like to introduce you to Draya Evans.
Hi Draya, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I started branding myself in 2017 when I was in school for skin esthetics.
We were encouraged to show our work and services. As the years went on, I have taken social media more seriously by doing product reviews and “Get Ready With Me” content.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I wouldn’t say it’s been hard necessarily, but I do struggle often with finding the motivation and energy to create, especially working a full-time and part-time job.
I also struggle with self-confidence and how I look in my videos and photos, so that makes it difficult for me as well.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My main way of content creation is with beauty.
Especially lip products, lipstick, and lip gloss are my favorite beauty products. So I like to do reviews of lip products that I have. I do also enjoy fashion, and as I work on my confidence I’d like to do more fashion and Get Ready with Me videos.
I’m also getting into spend the day with my videos, so I can show others all the wonderful things Minneapolis has to offer. I am not a massive influencer by any means, but I am proud of myself for the small recognition I do get from brands!
Even this article is a big win for me and I’m very proud of it. I think what sets me apart is that I’m not a big influencer. I don’t get sent PR, I don’t get paid for anything I post. So everything I talk about are my honest thoughts. I have nothing to lose.
