Conversations with Emily Vos

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Vos.

Hi Emily, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Lupine Meadows Flower Truck started after tossing around fun ideas about future dream jobs. During the Covid shutdown, and with my kids growing up fast, I had time to start thinking about what makes me happy.

Connecting with people and appreciating nature’s beauty are two important pieces of my life, so I married them into a small flower truck business. I searched locally for a vehicle that would create a vintage face and when I found “Frankie” the 1958 baby blue Ford, I knew there was no turning back.

My family has helped me throughout the whole process and I am thankful for the local business owners who have partnered with me. I have so many new ideas floating around in my mind; hopefully, I can make some of them come to life.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This endeavor has been fun with a lot to learn along the way. When opportunities arise, sometimes I jump in with both feet and go for it. Other times, I have used caution to make smart decisions. I’ve worked to balance personal obligations in life with the continued desire for this business to grow.

The biggest challenge for me has been providing high-quality products that remain affordable to many. One of my primary goals from the beginning remains… the desire for people to feel connected.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Lupine Meadows Flower Truck allows the shopper to create what appeals to them. People can try out different combinations and find what works best before they buy. Often, when buying floral arrangements, one has limited choices, with only pre-made options available. I also carry plants that are harder to find, including succulents,  and tropicals, while keeping and keep them at a reasonable cost.

I think what sets the flower truck apart is how interactive the consumer can be. Also, I love to hear people’s stories. I like to know if they are designing for themselves or giving the bouquet as a gift; ispiring to hear about the message they are sending with the blooms.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up.
Thankfully, I had an amazing childhood. My parents were loving, encouraging, and firm. My favorite childhood memories were always during Summer.

Our family enjoyed simple vacations, I played competitive basketball atound the country, rode horses, helped my parents garden and I had week-long sleepovers with my best friend Paula. Friends make life rich.
