Hi Linh, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey with beauty started long before I ever held a lash tweezer. When I was growing up in Vietnam, my mom owned a hair salon, and I was her little assistant at just 10 years old. I helped her blow-dry hair, gave head massages, and most of all, I loved talking to clients—asking about their day and listening to their life stories. I didn’t realize it back then, but those moments were the roots of what I’m doing now—connecting with others through beauty and care.
After college, I worked as a dental assistant for a few years. It was then I realized how skillful I am with my hands and how much I enjoyed detailed, hands-on work. But my passion for beauty never left me—it only grew stronger. So I decided to take a leap and explore the beauty industry for real.
There’s a saying that “the eyes are the window to the soul,” and to me, lashes are a powerful way to express that inner beauty. I fell in love with how something so delicate could completely uplift someone’s confidence. That’s how Beauty by Linh LLC was born.
Today, I offer lash extension services, my own line of lash products, and training courses tailored for both beginners and advanced artists. My courses include popular styles like Sunflower, Wet Mascara Effect, Kim K Volume, Anime, and Douyin/Manhua. I’m incredibly proud to empower women—not only to feel beautiful, but also to pursue their dreams in this industry.
None of this would be possible without the unwavering love and support of my family and close friends. They’ve been cheering me on since day one and continue to show up in ways I’ll always treasure. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and so excited for everything still to come.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s definitely not been a smooth road—but every challenge along the way has shaped who I am as both a business owner and an artist. In the beginning, I was lashing from a small corner of my living room and even drove 1.5 hours to Rochester just to serve a handful of early clients. I believed in the quality of my work and in building genuine connections, one client at a time. After a few months of saving, I took a leap of faith and rented a small studio in Bloomington to create a more professional space for my growing clientele.
As the business grew, so did the challenges. I had to learn how to serve a larger client base without compromising quality or burning out. I faced tough decisions—whether to raise my prices or begin building a team to help manage the increasing demand. Eventually, I expanded into a larger studio with multiple rooms, opening doors not only for my clients, but for other artists as well.
Empowering other women has always been at the heart of Beauty by Linh LLC. From mentoring lash artists to offering training and creating a supportive environment, I’ve made it a priority to uplift others in this industry. At the same time, I hold myself to high standards of service—because I want every client who walks through my door to leave not only looking beautiful but feeling truly seen, confident, and smiling.
Like many small business owners, I wore many hats—lash artist, receptionist, scheduler, marketer, product packer, and more. I registered my LLC, taught myself how to handle taxes and bookkeeping, and created all my own marketing content—from filming and editing videos to writing every social media caption. These behind-the-scenes tasks often took up my evenings and weekends, but they were essential to building a business I could be proud of.
Investing in my craft has also been a non-negotiable. I’ve traveled across the country and even overseas to train with some of the most respected lash artists in the industry. These experiences came with sacrifices—time away, financial risk, and stepping far outside my comfort zone—but they played a major role in refining my skills and shaping the beginner and advanced training programs I now offer.
One of the hardest lessons I’m still learning is how to balance work and life. When you care deeply about your business, it’s easy to let it consume every part of your day. But over time, I’ve realized that rest, boundaries, and personal time are just as essential to long-term growth as the hustle itself.
Through every high and low, what’s kept me grounded is the unwavering support of my family, loved ones, and the clients who believed in me—sometimes even before I fully believed in myself. Their encouragement reminds me why I started: to uplift others through beauty, to build confidence, and to create a business with heart.
Beauty by Linh LLC wasn’t created overnight. It’s the result of long days, late nights, self-taught lessons, and a deep love for the craft. I’m truly grateful for how far this journey has taken me—and for every person who’s been part of it along the way.

At Beauty by Linh LLC, I specialize in high-quality, customized lash extensions designed to enhance each client’s unique beauty. No one looks alike, so I believe no lash set should ever be one-size-fits-all. Every style I create—whether it’s soft and natural or bold and trendy like Anime, or Douyin/Manhua—is tailored with precision to match each client’s eye shape, facial features, and personal style. I also offer personalized lash training courses for both beginners and experienced artists who want to refine their technique and elevate their artistry.
What I’m most proud of is how far this business has come—from lashing in my small living room to now owning a full studio, developing my own product line, and helping other aspiring artists build their careers. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about watching my students gain confidence and start their own journeys, knowing I played a small part in that growth.
What sets Beauty by Linh LLC apart is the level of care, precision, and connection I bring to every appointment and every student. I have a strong eye for detail and a deep understanding of facial balance and lash mapping, but more importantly, I listen. Whether it’s customizing a lash set or mentoring someone through their first training session, my goal is always to make people feel seen, beautiful, and empowered.
Clients often tell me they feel at ease in my chair—that they enjoy not just the results, but the experience. I think that’s what makes this work so special. It’s more than lashes—it’s about confidence, connection, and creating a space where people can feel truly cared for.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
So many people deserve credit for where Beauty by Linh LLC is today. First and foremost, my family and loved ones—they’ve been my biggest supporters since the very beginning. Whether it was encouraging me through late nights or helping behind the scenes at events, their love and support have been the foundation of everything I do.
I’m especially grateful to my incredible clients. In the beginning, I was the one driving 1.5 hours just to take appointments—but now, it’s come full circle. I have clients who travel over an hour from out of town, and some who even fly in from other states just to see me. That kind of trust and loyalty means more than words can express, and it pushes me to always give my absolute best.
I also want to acknowledge the incredible lash educators and master artists I’ve had the privilege of learning from, both in the U.S. and abroad. Their mentorship has been instrumental in shaping not only my techniques but also my mindset—and they’ve inspired me to uphold that same standard of excellence in the way I now teach and mentor my own students.
Beauty by Linh LLC may still be a solo business on paper—for now—but I’m actively working toward expanding my team this year. I’m excited to grow, collaborate, and create a space where more beauty professionals can thrive together. While I’m proud of how far I’ve come, I know I didn’t do it alone—and I’m so thankful to everyone who’s helped me along the way.
