Hi Miranda, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Over 13 years ago, I walked into a med spa for a consultation regarding my own skin concerns. During that visit, I was met with compassion, trust, knowledge, and a personalized treatment plan. It was in that moment that I knew I wanted to pursue a career in esthetics.
I was accepted into an esthetics program in Georgia, where I completed two years of esthiology training. During my time in school, I met my now-husband. After graduation, I moved to Minnesota to begin my career in the aesthetics industry.
For more than six years, I worked as an employee, refining my skills and learning from some of the best professionals in the field. While I truly enjoyed where I worked, I knew that working for someone else was not where I envisioned myself long-term. Taking a leap of faith, I spread my wings and ventured out on my own. That decision led to the creation of Revive MedSpa.
Since then, I have continued to expand my education in skin health, grow my treatment offerings, and build a loyal clientele. Along the way, I have also learned the many aspects of running a successful business.
I would not be where I am today without the teachers who encouraged me, the educators and fellow estheticians who helped me learn and grow, the employers who recognized my potential and gave me opportunities, and, of course, my husband, who helped fuel the spark that turned a dream into reality.
Today, my passion remains the same as it was when I first stepped into that med spa years ago: helping others feel confident in their own skin through education, personalized care, and results-driven treatments.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were many obstacles along the way. One of the biggest challenges was building trust with clients in a community where I was new. Being from Georgia and not originally from Minnesota, many people didn’t know who I was or what I stood for. I had to build my reputation and client base from the ground up. It wasn’t easy, but it was absolutely worth it.
That experience taught me a great deal about myself and, more importantly, who I wanted to be for my clients. I learned the importance of showing up consistently, earning trust through honesty and results, and treating every client as an individual.
Another obstacle was overcoming my own fears and self-doubt. Taking the leap into business ownership meant constantly battling the “what ifs.” What if I failed? What if I wasn’t successful on my own? Those thoughts didn’t disappear overnight, but I learned to push through them and keep moving forward.
There were also challenges that came with continuing my education and mastering new treatments and techniques. Not everything came easily, and there were times when I made mistakes or struggled to perfect a skill. Those moments taught me resilience and the importance of never giving up.
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is that not every client will return, and that’s okay. Early on, I took that personally. Over time, I realized that everyone’s journey, needs, and circumstances are different. Instead of viewing it as failure, I learned to focus on providing the best possible experience and care for every person who walks through my doors.
Each obstacle has shaped the provider and business owner I am today. They have strengthened my confidence, deepened my compassion, and reinforced my commitment to creating an environment where every client feels welcomed, valued, and cared for.

My education did not stop the day I graduated—in many ways, that was just the beginning. I am committed to continually expanding my knowledge and skills so I can provide my clients with the highest level of care, education, and results.
