Hi Yer, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My passion for creating floral arrangements began when I was just 13 years old. Growing up on a family farm, I was always surrounded by homegrown flowers and vegetables. I quickly learned how to arrange bouquets, and it became a fun competition with my parents and siblings. We would place little bets and see whose bouquet would be sold first at the farmer’s market. Most of the time, my bouquets were always chosen and that motivated me to keep creating more flower bouquets! Over time, my parents encouraged me to dive into the world of floral preparations and arrangements, and I absolutely fell in love with it! This got me where I am today and finally made the decision two years ago to start my floral business. There’s something so special about creating beautiful bouquets and seeing the joy they bring to people’s faces. My dream for the future is to share my passion with as many people as possible, reminding everyone that flowers are not just pretty— they’re a wonderful way to express love and joy.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The past year has been challenging for me as I am a new florist to the community, and I struggled to get any orders. It was disheartening to see, but my passion for creating beautiful arrangements fueled my determination to keep pushing forward. This year, I’ve received more orders than before, which has given me greater opportunities to showcase my creations on social media.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Being a stay-at-home mom may not involve a traditional job, but it comes with significant work and responsibilities such as time management, multitasking, and problem solving. Managing two business from home while raising kids is not easy. What I’m most proud of is seeing the efforts I’ve put into my floral business coming to life. I believe that once you start something, like a floral business , and with the support of my husband, you will never look back. This experience sets me apart from others, as it gives me the opportunity to focus on my passion.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
People in general motivate me to be best in life. There are those who criticize my business and those who give me strength. Both are my motivators to help me improve and achieve greatness in life.
