Daily Inspiration: Meet Bill Williams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bill Williams.

Hi Bill, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was always a pro wrestling fan growing up. When I reached adulthood, my educational pursuits delayed my ability to seek out training to become a wrestler. But once the Academy School of Professional Wrestling open in 2016, I knew that was my opportunity.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Teaching and wrestling are both hard jobs with lots of ups and downs, lots of hours, and oftentimes, underwhelming compensation. But that is also what makes these professions both so rewarding when you find the success you’re striving for.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a professional wrestler known by the name of Mr. Williams. I am based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, but have wrestled across the greater Midwest and Canada. I am also a public educator, and like to use that skillset to help achieve my goals in the ring, including holding both the fans and my fellow wrestlers to high expectations, and when they fall short, holding them accountable for their actions.
