Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
How I Got Started:
Channel Jamil, CEO of Dreamworld, frequent collaborator with FTB Music Group, and one half of the music group Water 4 Mars, is a multifaceted artist, music producer, and audio engineer. His passion for hip hop music ignited at an early age, significantly influenced by 2Pac’s iconic album “Me Against the World,” which inspired him to start writing rap lyrics. At 16, he self-produced and recorded his first hip hop project, marking the beginning of his commitment to elevating as an artist and musician. To hone his music production skills, he studied music theory at Mercer County College and further developed as a producer and audio engineer at the Institute of Audio Research (IAR).
Current Day:
Channel Jamil has recently released two hip hop EPs, “New Flex” and “No Justice No Peace,” and is currently working on a new music project that aims to showcase his artistic range. He is also collaborating on the sequel to an instrumental hip hop project called “Organized Noize” with Water 4 Mars. As a co-owner and frequent collaborator with FTB Music Group, he is part of an ambitious lo-fi music project titled “Lofi Vibes,” releasing one lo-fi track every day for an entire year.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey of being a creative in the hip hop industry is rarely met with a smooth road. At heart, I’m a creative purist who truly loves the art for the art’s sake. However, as a self-starter, I’ve had to learn about the business side of the music industry as well. The challenges of balancing creativity and business can be daunting, especially when there is no harmony between the two. Creativity and business need each other to achieve success, and finding that balance is key in all things.

As CEO of Dreamworld and Co-Owner of FTB Music Group, I play multiple roles in the music industry. Specializing in hip hop as an artist, producer, and engineer, I am recognized for my distinctive sound and versatile style, which showcases my artistic range.
What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to authenticity and artistic integrity. I strive to balance creativity with strong business acumen, ensuring that my music resonates deeply with listeners while constantly pushing the boundaries of production. I take immense pride in my recent projects and our ongoing lo-fi initiative at FTB Music Group, where we release daily tracks across multiple volumes of “Lofi Vibes,” fostering a unique and meaningful connection with our audience.
