Daily Inspiration: Meet Duelly Noted

Today we’d like to introduce you to Duelly Noted. Them and their team share their story with us below:

HER STORY!
Jacy and Cass met in 2007 at college while attending McNally Smith College of Music (RIP). Their friendship was not immediate; they started not liking each other. Jacy thought Cass was a bit too loud and outgoing for her (she’s just a people person!), while Cass thought Jacy was stuck up and too “good” for her (she’s just a little shy when you first meet her!). However, they were both still intrigued by the talent they saw in one another. It wasn’t until they had a class together, when Jacy offered Cass a ride to their performance, that they started to understand each other. The car ride over melted all of their predispositions, and they hit it off! They have been best friends ever since.

DUELLY NOTED!
Duelly Noted was born in 2015. Their dueling piano act is a song request-based show involving crowd participation and audience interaction. The girls buckled down and learned as many songs as possible over the last seven years. Jacy and Cassondra have traveled the country playing for corporate parties, fairs, country clubs, theaters, fundraisers, private events, and more! They love each other, and they love what they do.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been easy being wives and mothers while continuing to expand our business. Our job requires travel for short and long periods. We miss our families when we are gone, and we must rely heavily on our spouses to juggle the kiddos and their work. Work-life balance is key to keeping life happy and operating smoothly. Another challenge for us has been recovering from Covid 19. We are making our way back to the “normal” gig load. We were projected to have our biggest year in 2020.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are a high-energy female dueling piano act that plays cover music from the 60’s-today. We take text message requests and cater our sets based on what our audiences what to hear. What sets us apart is that we are females. That tends to be rarer in the dueling piano community. We also have powerhouse vocals that add such versatility to our show.
