Today we’d like to introduce you to Elena Davis.
Hi Elena, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Been a fan girl my entire life. Started by listening to hours and hours of Taylor Swift songs and interviews to teach me English after moving from France.
As time went on, my love for music and live music only grew and by the time I graduate high school and started college, I realized that I could work in the industry and behind the scenes of what I love to do. Started talking to people, joining street teams and organizations, and more.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Never has and never will be (especially being a woman in the field) but that’s what is so special about it all. Have to keep pushing it and if you are determined to make it happen, it will happen.
People will be able to see that spark in you.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I currently work as a VIP rep for live touring events and as a social media content creator for WMU (Warner Music U). I love attending concerts and working with fans.
As a fan girl myself, I continue to strive to work and put so much passion into my projects. On the fan girl side, I love to create individualized posters to pass out to the team, crew, and fans for free to connect.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting?
Don’t be afraid to talk. Talk to everyone and anyone.
Send that message. Meet up with coffee. Ask to shadow someone. It’s so incredibly difficult to get the courage to reach out sometimes but it only takes one person to reach.
