Daily Inspiration: Meet EliNyamal Both

Today we’d like to introduce you to EliNyamal Both.

EliNyamal, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am an Ethiopian Born American and came to America at the age of 5-6. I never dreamed of it, but it happened anyway. After seeing the world outside of my country my perspective changed. I became attracted to the fashion industry, Fashion magazines, music, runways, glamor, and beauty.

In high school, I made the local media through my creativity in a fashion which became a new beginning of pushing for something big in the making.

As I begin to form into the fashion world, I established NubiCollections as a way to express my creativity and represent my heritage through the fashion industry. Four years ago, I came up with NUBIUltimateRunway to share those stories of African heritage and connect the diversity we have in Minnesota.

I am grateful for where I am now and there’s still a long way to go.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been smooth at all until I met an investor who saw my work. He motived me to get back to the Fashion World and till now I have his full support. This year, I’ve finally got the opportunity to go to New York Fashion Week and I am very thrilled about it. My goal is to get a store where we can merchandise my designs.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Before the pandemic, I was working full time at home as a custom designer. I custom mostly in special accessions and Weddings. I also specialize in cultural and traditional weddings. I am known as a fashion designer and also a social influencer among the African diaspora. I am proud of how far I am come and effective my work has influenced many African youths in America and in East Africa. My character and uplifting personality.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I am thankful and grateful for this opportunity.
