Today we’d like to introduce you to Jena Hoffman.
Hi Jena, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I can do ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13. This bible verse has been a life changer for me. I meditate on it daily, it’s the first thing I say to myself before I place my feet on the floor to begin my day and throughout my days. I was having a hard time figuring out an authentic name for my cleaning business that fully represented me. I prayed about it and one day I heard a still voice tell me this is the name, I knew it was god speaking to me and that’s when I decided to call my business All Things Clean. My faith is my life and I wanted my work to reflect that.
I believe in having God involved in every area of my business, he’s the builder and provider of All Things Clean. I know if I continue to work hard, do good, pray, and follow God’s principles he will make things happen for me I couldn’t possibly do myself and he has. One example of his goodness is this interview opportunity. God knew I wanted to share my story when I started my business, I kept hearing bestill about it so I decided to stay still and wait.
Sure enough not long after I listened and patiently waited I received an email from Voyage Minnesota asking me to share my story. I believe God has big plans for all of us we just need to be still and patiently wait on him. he’s always working for us even if it may not seem like it sometimes, we must keep faith and trust in God.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Sooner or later we all have trouble in life. God said in the Bible we would have trouble, John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
In our troubles, we can still have peace knowing we are in good hands. One of my obstacles was starting my business and putting myself out to the world. Fear told me I was not going to be able to support my son it was too risky being a single mom starting my own business, what if I didn’t get enough clients to pay the bills? What if I’m not capable of handling a business? What would people think of me? For a while I let fear stop me from God’s calling on my life.
I realized I was allowing the enemy to fill my head with fear. I turned my fear into faith and let God’s strength take over in every area of my life I put in the work and kept serving God and I continue to every day because I have seen godly results. God guided me to start cleaning and now I know why, it brought me closer to him, I have a personal relationship with him now that I never had before. Most of the time I would clean alone it would just be god and I together in the home that’s when I would do a lot of my talking and listening it brought me peace I never experienced before. He made building my business easy while I was going through a challenging divorce.
God has now given my ex-husband and me the grace to have a good relationship with our son, it wasn’t an easy road I did a lot of praying and still do. The current challenge I’m experiencing with my business is taking the next step and hiring employees I want to continue to serve more people. I’m only onebody and I can thankfully say my schedule is almost booked to its fullest. God will open that door for me at the right time, for now, I will be still and patiently waiting on him cause I know he will never fail me.

Family. I grew up on a farm in Vergas MN. It’s where I was taught how to take care of a home. If I’m not working or at home with my son we are at the family farm helping where we can. I’m thankful for my family farm, my parents, and three siblings. I get to raise my son where I grew up and he’s taught the same core values I was taught as a kid and that’s what matters to me.
