Hi Midnight, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Founded in 2018, the group is comprised of multifaceted stage performers with eclectic talents in all shapes, sizes and backgrounds.
Our group came together to fill a need in the local nerd, anime and convention communities. A need for Nerdlesque, Nerdy-Burlesque. Our group focuses on making sure all of our voices are heard and all of our performers have what they require to give you their best!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Getting our name out there was definitely hard at first. There’s a lot of networking all of our members and leaders have to do to create buzz. So much reaching out and applying. You hear a lot of no when you first start out but you have to keep trying!
We also are constantly are fighting to get the pay that we deserve in a community that was pretty new to the concept of burlesque when we started. There’s a lot of educating and patience involved when trying to set a consistent standard of fair pay for something that may not be viewed highly by some parties. We’ve made so much progress and have come far but there is still much work to be done.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Our inspiration for our acts stem from our love of nerdy pop culture, such as: anime and comics to video games and TV shows. Each performer has a unique flavor of expression, whether it be cutesy and comedic or sultry and elegant.
The Midnight Minxes are certain to captivate with our surprising tricks and magical flair, bringing to life new ideas and providing astounding content for our audience to enjoy.
We audition guest performers for every show so no two shows are ever the same. Every time you see us is a new experience! We welcome newcomers and seasoned performers to always keep an eye out on our pages and apply when auditions open!
What were you like growing up?
We are a large group of individuals made up of lots of backgrounds and personalities!!
