Today we’d like to introduce you to Nano Alvarez.
Hi Nano, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in a small border town in Texas named Eagle Pass. A town where I lived meeting others and being around family and friends. Growing up in that town has been a journey for me as I came out of the closet at 17.
Day, months and a year or so, I’ve felt afraid and the more I’ve learned about my self I settled on becoming a performer to help with my depression and loneliness… I’ve been in Minneapolis Minnesota for 6 years performing and being around so many beautiful people till this day I call my loving second family.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It’s been more of a bumpy ride till I’ve reached the smoother side of the road to happiness and being ever so grateful
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a Drag Queen based in the Twin Cities, I am a current Cast Member at The Saloon downtown Minneapolis where there are many drag events come on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
I’m known for being sweet and very approachable toward everyone and I’m so proud to be myself around everyone and show my personality.
How do you define success?
I define success as something you want to achieve not for others but for yourself! You yourself can make success happen by working hard and proving your own greatness.
