Today we’d like to introduce you to Shana Belle.
Hi Shana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started this personal blog to escape my anxiety and depression. I believe we all need a place to make us feel good and happy and warm, and I found that by doing that on my Instagram. I never thought it would get me anywhere; not saying the journey was easy. It was a rough road to get where I am now. I’ve met the most amazing people on here, some of them even my friends. I find the best local businesses and places to go that I can pass on to everyone. I’ve modeled on and off throughout my life just for fun. And after a very long break decided that I wanted to use my Instagram platform to branch out into model promotion, comedy, and business. I believe we all should have a few laughs in our life and as women to simultaneously feel confident and pretty. Over time, I felt more connected to the people and businesses online. I love going to these places taking pictures, sightseeing, eating the food drinking the wine, or even taste in the occasional beer. I’ve met the most amazing people and tasted the best food money could buy. I always feel like the small community has the best food, wine, and beer tasting around. They don’t get enough credit, and Instagram is an amazing place to take pictures, do reviews and post what you love. People see that relate to you, and sometimes even stop by to check it out. It’s a great way for small businesses to get their name out there. And nothing makes me happier than taking pictures of my friends with great food and drinks and maybe just a great view. I think it’s a wonderful place for people to be creative and show their sides that they don’t normally get to show to everyone. I’m a very shy person, so for me, it’s easy to go on Instagram and be someone I want to be without too much judgment. I found that’s also a great opportunity to branch out and find careers for models, influencers, and people with small businesses. I have my own small business outside my normal work life, and I can be very creative with my clothing business; it’s a great way to get my name out there and other businesses I enjoy promoting. Being from a small town, it can be tough to get your business up and going, and I have many friends who are entrepreneurs with small businesses out of their homes that love being able to share with the world what they create. And I’m happy to be able to help them grow.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a smooth road?
Social media is not easy, but once you get the hang of it, you really can get your name out there and go places that you never thought you dreamed of going. It has not been a smooth road for me. I am not Instagram savvy; I would say that’s more for the younger generation. So it’s been a struggle keeping up with the times and how things have changed since I was a teenager. So it’s been an interesting road. I’ve learned a lot, and I continue to grow every day.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am known for my creativity. I am a gifted artist and painter as well as a photographer. I love being creative and making videos making people laugh even when I think I’m not that funny. Also my clothing business, I design my clothing and HomeGoods. I feel that’s my strong suit as being artistic and creative. Getting creative juices helps the stress and anxiety go away. I am most proud of myself in that way where I can express myself creatively and be proud of what I do.
What are your plans for the future?
Expanding my clothing line would be incredible. I’d love to get my creative juices flowing, and my vision for the world to see and for someone to wear my clothing is extremely gratifying. I also would like to expand my modeling career for fun. I love doing that for my confidence, not necessarily making it a career, but for my well-being and growth. I believe as a woman, we all are different, all shapes and sizes, and I think all of us deserve to feel pretty no matter what we do or what we wear and to be able to feel confident in our skin is extremely important.
