Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacie Clark. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Fashion Director turned CelebrityTrainer / Global Fitness Expert and Spokesmodel for Nordictrack + iFit / Co-Founder TigerFit Minneapolis, MN Studio / Named America’s “Next Fitness Star” by Women’s Health Magazine / Produced Women’s Health Magazine Best Selling Workout Series.
A mom of two elite soccer players and an athlete all of her life, Stacie brings over 25 years of experience in fitness, wellness, and lifestyle behavior to her clients and loyal followers. She believes you must train the body to move properly through mobility, stability, and strength. Stacie studied Fashion and Business at Indiana University, leading her to Minneapolis, MN, where she worked in the fashion industry for 20 years in conjunction with mastering her love and passion for fitness.
Stacie believes everyone must earn the right to be fit and to do that. One must train with the purpose (& have fun doing it!). Known as a kick-ass motivator with limitless energy, Stacie puts the purpose in your training, and she has the body of evidence to prove her method works. To her, it’s a lifestyle, not a job. Her work is her play, and her play is her work.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s the journey, not a smooth road. A lot of reflecting inward to find the power within for a family-owned, growing small business to survive these questionable times our world is currently experiencing. From covid to shutdowns to increasing prices in rent, gas, and food to overall a divided country because of politics. I’m blessed to have the opportunity with my global platform as an iFIT trainer, in addition to my local recognition, so I can continue to help motivate and inspire individuals one day at a time, changing one life at a time. I believe movement is medicine and everyone needs it. This is what makes the journey worth it.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I worked 20 years in the fashion industry, buying, merchandising, and studying trends – one of the best jobs ever. Thankfully, I was always an athlete and maintained training clients on the side as another hobby. When the market crashed in the early 2000s, many companies consolidated and lost their jobs. I was lucky enough to continue to consult with a large department store while exploring what I wanted to do when I grew up (laugh). I did both for a while until I knew I couldn’t be away from my family anymore, so we decided to start our family fitness company. My husband is my business partner, and my 2 children have been a part of the business since day one. Both are amazing athletes.
What sets us apart: we are very gifted at what we do. I say “we” because my husband is my business partner. Our training is evidence-based. We bring unparalleled energy to the individual and group, regardless of fitness level or age—all backed by science.
I am known for my high-energy, smile, motivation, and for holding you accountable. I train people at all levels and understand your goals, struggles, desires, and opportunities. If you are meeting me for the first time, I start with a consult to go over all the details and expectations, then create a plan to put in place. The rest is easy. You show up, do the work assigned, and results will come.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Owning a small business is all about risk-taking. You are betting on yourself every day. Covid shut down, for example. The questions that ran through my mind: Do we try to pivot and make this work? Do we shut down for good? Are we going to survive this? All the fears showed up. But so did we. We showed up every day and pivoted the business; now, we are busier than ever. That hard time even opened up other business opportunities for us that we are working on today.
