Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammy Buegler. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Blume – Florals and Events by T&K started in 2010 when Tammy and Kelli (mother & daughter) offered to decorate for a couple of their friends’ weddings as gifts. From there, we started booking 30 weddings within the area our first year. Now, we book around 60 weddings a year, mostly in southern Minnesota and Metro areas, but this coming season, we will be traveling to Montana to do a wedding. We love staying updated with the latest trends, the best seasonal blooms, complementary colors, and pairings, and how to implement an entire wedding vision from the smallest boutonniere to the most extensive floral installment, ceiling drapes, backdrops, and everything in between.
Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Great question! What comes to mind first is COVID-19. We are trying to combine the bride’s visions while making many spur-of-the-moment changes. Many backyard, barn, and lake home weddings with different vendors than they originally had and smaller numbers.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re focused on?

Our floral designs are truly original. From imaginative bridal bouquets and flowers for the wedding party to stunning floral backdrops and centerpieces, all our floral arrangements are custom-designed for you and your big day! We do floral designs for weddings, quinceañeras, anniversaries, holiday parties, and corporate events; we have always helped our brides with other planning needs but are now expanding our business to include wedding planning packages and day of coordination, making us truly a one-stop shop!
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
We have thought about taking a risk and expanding our business multiple times. One of the things that holds us back is that we pride ourselves on keeping our business small so that we are personally hands-on with each event. We fear that expanding our business would take us away from the personal one-on-one with each customer, although we envy those who take risks.
