Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Brown.
Hi Taylor, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my blog and Instagram in December of 2015 as a creative space to share my personal style, beauty tips, lifestyle happenings and whatever else inspired me. I have always been very passionate about all things fashion and beauty: shopping, putting together outfits, and trying out new makeup products during my spare time. With these interests in mind (and feeling very uninspired with my career at the time), I decided to start blogging and posting my daily outfits on Instagram! I kept up with it during my free time, grew my following, and was able to start monetizing from it through commissionable links and working with my favorite brands. I became pregnant in 2018 and at that point, I took the leap to take it full-time. In 2020, it allowed my husband to leave his full-time corporate job to start helping with all the things behind the scenes (the accounting/financing side, taking my photos and general assistance), and also help care for our 2 boys. Though a scary leap for us both, it’s been the best decision we’ve made for our business and family!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The time dedicated to creating content and growing my following is consuming sometimes, and since having my two boys, it can be hard to find the perfect work/life balance some days! And since the content people want to consume has changed a bit (for example, video content is bigger than ever and it wasn’t when I originally started), I’m always still learning and trying to keep up.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The everyday woman/mom with a passion for fashion, putting together outfits, sharing sales, beauty, home decor and everyday life as a mom (and baby/toddler things too). I am proud of keeping true to my authentic self.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My husband and co-owner of our business. Takes my photos, manages the finance/accounting side of things, helps me create content and help care for our boys.
