Today we’d like to introduce you to Abbey Rorvick
Hi Abbey, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story starts back in high school. While other kids were going to sports practice, I was in my room teaching myself to code to customize my lifestyle blog, ever since I have been hooked on all things design and branding. Over the years, my career took me in a few different directions, but now I’m thrilled to have started This is June, a branding and website design studio. My favorite thing is when I present a design or website to a client and they have that “It’s exactly what I wanted but didn’t know how to explain!” reaction.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road hasn’t exactly been smooth. As I said, my career took me in different directions and although I always worked in creative roles, I ended up in some industries that just didn’t light my fire. I always wanted to start a design studio of my own but didn’t take the leap until last year when I got pregnant with my daughter. I wanted to create a life where I could do work I’m passionate about while having balance for family and personal time.

This is June is a boutique branding and web design studio. We believe that design has the ability to inspire how we feel and react emotionally. It’s the silent ambassador for your brand and the secret to building trust, connection, and alignment with your ideal audience. A strong brand identity and website should build rapport with your audience and stand out from your competitors.
What are your plans for the future?
I’m very excited for the future of This is June! In addition to helping our amazing clients with all their branding and web design needs, we plan to expand our digital product offerings. Things such as easy-to-use website templates, semi-custom brands, and social media templates. Sometimes being an entrepreneur is hard, and you either don’t have the time or budget to spend on large-scale custom projects. We’re hoping these offerings will help in those cases!
