Exploring Life & Business with Annette Huebner of Veda Therapeutics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Annette Huebner.

Annette, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I discovered Ayurveda on a trip to India when I was 26 years old in 2018 . I had traveled to Rishikesh for a yoga teacher training. One day on my lunch break I was walking by the river and stumbled upon an ayurvedic clinic, I felt immediately pulled in and I walked in to check it out. Upon entering I knew Ayurveda was something I needed to do for myself. It was a loud intuition I couldn’t ignore.
I had been living what I thought was a very healthy lifestyle in Colorado before my trip, eating healthy, yoga, hiking, spending time in Nature but despite that I was struggling with many health issues that seem unsolvable and mysterious! Painful acne, loss of my menstrual cycle, chronic infections and bloating that never seemed to go away were just a few of the problems I was experiencing on a daily basis.
A couple of weeks later after my initial ayurveda discovery I committed to a week long Pancha Karma with an Ayurvedic doctor. Pancha Karma, is a deep rejuvenative detox where the mind and body are cleansed and deeply nourished back to balance.
Transformed and intrigued by my experience I committed myself to learning ayurveda and sharing it in the western world. I returned from India and started an Ayurvedic Health Counselor program which I completed in 2021, I also have worked and studied under multiple ayurvedic practitioners and doctors in America and abroad since that time. I have even returned to India a second time to complete a 21 day Pancha Karma, where I witnessed an equal amount of transformation in my health and to receive a certificate in Advanced Ayurveda.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It certainly hasn’t been a smooth road. Entrepreneurship has asked me to master skillsets I didn’t know I needed and to step out of my comfort zone again and again. I have wanted to give up many times.

It can be much easier to walk the path that is laid out for an individual but with entrepreneurship we are creating our own path and it can be challenging but the self growth we experience through our journey is a true gift. Our bravery, courage, dedication and passion can surprise us over and over again. It’s really something to be proud of.

I also feel inspired to keep on the path because I feel my purpose of sharing Ayurveda is bigger than just me and my ego and that allows me to face my fears and walk through challenges knowing that this isn’t just for me it’s for all of those that will also benefit from the teachings of Ayurveda.

As you know, we’re big fans of Veda Therapeutics. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m currently based in Minnesota. I focus on individual consultations and teaching, which I do in person and online. My website is VedaTherapeutcs.com, this is where you can book with me and follow current events. I have a lot of educational content online which can be found on my Instagram (@vedatherapeutics) and my Tiktok (Veda Therapeutics). My newest adventure in my business is creating a group trip to an Ayurvedic Hospital in Kerala, India for individuals that are interested in experiencing an authentic Pancha Karma program within a supportive container and that will be happening starting in January of 2028.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memories center around spending time outdoors with my family and our summer vacations around the state. I grew up with a twin sister and another sister that is only 13 months older. I consider my sisters built-in best friends I get to experience life with. 🙂
