Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Quist.
Hi Beth, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Started working in the industry at a young age and had repetitive dreams about owning my own bartending service. Came up with a plan in 2013 to create the business. It took me until 2016 to actually start Fusion, due to the challenge of figuring out how to go about getting a liquor license in the state of MN and working other jobs. I networked and offered complimentary service for events just to get exposure. Was maintaining business but not growing the way I wanted to. Reassessed the people I had in place and revamped staffing. Getting the right people in place in March of this year has drastically changed my business. It’s been a long journey to get where I am today, but finding a Director of Operations has allowed me to focus on urgency with my clients and maintain the customer service level I always strive to achieve every day, no matter the type of event. It takes many years to build a company/brand and I am very grateful to have the support I do in my life and continue to learn every day how to provide an even better service experience to my clients.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
If it wasn’t challenging it wouldn’t be rewarding! Maintaining other jobs and being an entrepreneur to stay afloat wasn’t smooth, but with patience, knowing I would get there was why I was driven to continue towards my dreams. From figuring out how to get someone to support me with a liquor license, to coming up with my logo and taking risks took many years. Dedication and patience is key!

Fusion events is an event bartending service created in 2016 to create affordable bartending solutions in Minnesota. I want to keep striving to ensure all client’s visions are fulfilled and memories are created. From a shindig to a soirée and everything in between. There is really no event that we would deny. We do not need a minimum number of people to serve. We pride ourselves on no hidden fees with upfront pricing, urgency with communication, flexible with event visions, and hold ourselves to a higher level of customer service with a complimentary strategy session with liquor consults.
We will be there from beginning to end with your event planning.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Knowing I can make someone’s event less stressful with no worries about the bar service. Treating my clients like family is how I like to connect. All of their guests are in my hands and it’s up to me and my team to connect, relate and invite them to enjoy a drink. We welcome our guests by asking what they would love. “Welcome friends” are words I use to let guests know that they can approach the bar and really have a blast choosing what they would love! They are engaging in conversation and mingling with friends, family, coworkers, and having a cocktail or mocktail they’d enjoy is important to us. Overall, being a part of big life milestones makes me happy. I get to experience people’s biggest days of their life with their closest friends and family. It is an honor to witness, be a part of and contribute to.
