Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Moore.
Hi Brittany, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Well, let’s take it back to 2002. A time when all teens are preparing to enter college and deciding their whole life journey. I had dreamt of being a Psychologist specializing in Child Behavioral Psych, but self-doubt kicked in and I ended up opting for an Business Admin/Accounting Degree after graduation in 2004. Unknown to me, the Universe had different plans for me, they just wouldn’t unfold until 2020.
I spent my 20’s in various accounting roles, continuously growing and climbing the corporate ladder. I was really efficient and good at what I did, but something always felt like it was missing. In 2020, I was struggling with burnout from my high level accounting position. I’ve long since struggled with anxiety and depression, so when the pandemic hit, that came back very heavily. Talk therapy and medications weren’t the avenue I wanted to go, so I found a local woman in Sioux Falls who did Reiki. She piqued my interest and I booked. Chelsea saved my life in so many ways. Finding her opened doors for me that I never knew existed and she helped me navigate some very heavy waters and gain a deeper understanding of my truth and what I was meant to do as a Soul in this life. Her push (which was truthfully just my own soul speaking through her) was just what I needed to become Reiki I and II attuned in October of that year. Soul Powered was birthed into existence in December of that year and has since morphed into something much larger than I ever imagined. I have since gained certifications in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Breathwork, Herbalism, Womb Healing and I dabble heavily in Human Design. My business has since morphed from Soul Powered into EmBodhi Shakti.
EmBodhi Shakti means the embodiment and empowerment of the Divine Feminine. I work deeply with women who have experienced sexual trauma, but women who are also feeling lost, stuck, disempowered and looking for a new way to live. I guide and lead women back into their femininity from a space of masculinity and help them curate a life that is soft, deep, and intuitively led.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Wait, people get roads? Jokes aside, I have very much paved my own path this entire journey. I am truly healing and figuring this life and my business out as I go. My Human Design involves a lot of trial and error, which means I need to be able to pivot and adapt frequently. Through that trial and error, I gain deep wisdom which I then use as I walk beside women who are healing. Because I’ve lived these cycles, healed these patterns, and I continue to learn from them every day I become a source of inspiration and empowerment.
As you know, we’re big fans of EmBodhi Shakti. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business is centered around guiding women back home to themselves through the sacred, the somatic, and the spiritual. I specialize in trauma-informed healing practices that help women reconnect with their bodies, release generational and emotional pain, and step into their power. This includes modalities such as womb healing, clinical hypnotherapy, energy work, breathwork, intuitive guidance, and embodiment practices that weave both science and soul.
The depth, the intentionality, and the intuitive intelligence I bring into every session and program set me apart from others. I don’t follow trends or offer surface-level self-help. I work with women who are ready to move beyond coping and truly transform. Whether it’s healing from sexual trauma, navigating disconnection from their cycle or body, or releasing shame, my work helps them remember who they were before the world told them who to be. I also live and breathe my work in my own journey. There isn’t a single modality that I am trained in that I don’t self-practice outside of my sessions.
Honestly, my pride in the space I create. How safe, intimate, loving and empowering my containers are. I let women feel safe in letting their guard down and embracing vulnerability. My brand is more than a business, it’s a movement of reclamation. It’s about helping women feel again, trust again, and rise again. Every offering, whether a 1:1 session, group container, online program, or retreat is designed to be immersive, grounded, and deeply soul nourishing.
I want your readers to know that healing doesn’t have to be cold, clinical, or confusing. It can be soft, sacred, safe and even joyful. My offerings aren’t just about healing what was, but about activating what’s next: the woman you came here to be.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Most are very surprised that I’ve only been actively doing this work since 2021, but in some capacity, I have been a space holder my whole life. The amount of growth I have experienced in these last four years and the depth of knowledge in my work can be surprising to people as well. And then there is the surprise to find out I went into Accounting versus Psychology because people view me to be a natural at what I do.
