Hi Brittany, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After graduating from the University of Minnesota, I moved to New York to work in fashion, spending several years in buying roles that demanded creativity and adaptability. Later, I earned my MBA and launched a sustainable fashion marketplace, which required creating cohesive seasonal content across multiple brands. I quickly realized how valuable professional, versatile studio spaces were for creators and small businesses.
When I moved back to Minneapolis in 2023, I wanted to bring that same creative, functional environment to the local community. That’s how Walker Studios was born—a design-forward, community-driven space where photographers, filmmakers, and content creators can bring their projects to life. Seeing the work coming out of the studio in just six months has been incredibly rewarding, and it’s exciting to watch the creative community grow around it.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Launching Walker Studios has been incredibly rewarding, but re-adjusting to a new city and stepping into a slightly different industry came with its challenges. While my career has been in fashion and beauty, working adjacent to photography and creative projects, managing a studio has been an entirely new adventure. Learning the ins and outs of studio operations, understanding what photographers and content creators truly need, and building a space that meets those expectations was a steep learning curve.
That said, these challenges have been invaluable. They pushed me to listen, adapt, and keep striving to create a space that genuinely serves the creative community. I’m sure I haven’t seen the last of the obstacles, but seeing the studio come to life and the community grow around it makes it all worth it.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see creative studios becoming more than just rental spaces—they’re turning into versatile, community-driven hubs for photographers, videographers, podcasters, and digital creators. The rise of content creation and small business production is driving this, and studios that embrace technology, sustainability, and consistent quality are thriving.
