Today we’d like to introduce you to Jake Robbins.
Hi Jake , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Jake’s passion for helping people stems back all the way from elementary school. After getting assigned to help a foreign exchange student Yesenia to help her learn the English language, the fulfillment Jake received from helping her is something he carried with him through out his whole life.
After overcoming his own personal life struggles with suicidal thoughts, crippling depression and anxiety, addiction problems stemming back to the young age of 7 years old, drug addiction with numerous substances, severe alcoholism, and obesity having personally lost 120lbs in one years time on his own, Jake is a walking blueprint of what a human being is truly capable of achieving with the proper mindset, motivation, guidance, and framework.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
So far so good! It has all really come pretty naturally, once it clicked in my head that I felt like this was my calling I dove head first into manifesting this into my reality.
There is a lot of different way’s I could approach this and there is so many different coaching styles out there, but I think that I truly have something unique to offer to clients as most people haven’t personally been through such catastrophic events as I have through out my life with no outside guidance or help, and most coaches don’t use a spirituality based approach empowering their clients to overcome these challenges with their own inner light.
I think one of the biggest struggles is just tackling all the different aspects of becoming a coach and launching a brand like this, but in due time I feel as if I will be a leader in the industry amongst some of the top coaches in the world.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
A Better Life Living Life & Wellness Coaching was created by Jake Robbins to fulfill his deep inner calling of making a positive impact in the world and peoples lives by helping them live a life they truly love and can be proud of.
A Better Life Living is a life coaching practice specializing in overall life transformation, motivational coaching, addiction recovery, and overcoming mental health disorders.
One of our goals is to be the leading alternative method for clients to pursue instead of traditional therapy, treatment, or modern medication methodology’s.
Appointments are currently available via online Zoom sessions with Jake with programs ranging from 3-12 months. Jake has created specialty programs tailored to meet specific client needs based on struggles they are looking to overcome, and plans to release more programs in the coming months, as well as sessions tailored towards clients looking for overall life coaching and guidance towards creating a life they can truly love and be proud of. Jake also offers clients a smaller package of 1-10 sessions upon request.
Jake plans to expand the brand in the future by creating psychical life coaching practices for in person visits for a more personal setting, building teams of like minded coaches with the same goals and passions fueling their motives. Jake also plans to venture into public speaking, to help impact as many people at the same time as he possibly can and to get his message/story out to the masses.
“My goal is to use my personal experience and knowledge as well as my skills gained through my studies at The Brave Thinking Institute Life Mastery School to help guide people to life a life they truly love, and overcome any challenges they are facing through self empowerment as well as to teach clients a proven system to achieve their wildest life aspirations no matter what they entail. My story is very unique and I have overcome situations and battles that many probably wouldn’t have been able to withstand on their own, I feel as if now it is my responsibility to give back to the world and help people reach the same level of fulfillment I have and show them what is truly possible with the proper dedication and guidance.”

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
A lot of mentors offer free consultations, I’d say meeting them and “shopping around” to find someone that aligns with your own life views / personality traits is your best bet at success.
