Exploring Life & Business with Leeza Ochsner of Freshly Brewed Copy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leeza Ochsner

Leeza, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After spending over a decade as an in-house writer for companies like Scruples Professional Salon Products, Capture Marketing, and maurices, I took a leap of faith to pursue something of my own.

Although I had freelanced for many years under the name Leeza Writes, I wanted to create a foundational brand that was less about me and more about empowering others to write the next chapter of their story.

In 2020, that vision came to fruition, and I launched Freshly Brewed Copy (FBC), a copywriting studio designed to support impact-driven entrepreneurs with a more holistic and experiential approach to storytelling.

Today, FBC proudly helps seasoned and emerging entrepreneurs fuel their businesses further with thoughtful brand strategy, copywriting, and design.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The entrepreneurship journey is rarely far from smooth, and anyone who tells you otherwise is probably glossing over a few big hurdles!

But with time, you learn to navigate the ups and downs—whether it’s managing uncertainty, facing self-doubt, or dealing with burnout.

It can be tough not to lose yourself and compare your first chapter to someone else’s tenth, especially in the early years when it feels like everyone else is light years ahead.

However, I’ve realized that comparison truly is the thief of joy. So, instead, I try my best to focus more on measuring my own progress, trusting the process, and making a conscious effort to slow down and refill my cup so I can better serve my clients, family, friends, and myself.

We’ve been impressed with Freshly Brewed Copy, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a creative copywriting studio, my team and I specialize in blending thoughtful strategy, copywriting, and design grounded in customer-centric insights to help clients fuel their business with more clarity, confidence, and calm.

What truly sets FBC apart is our holistic approach to copywriting, personalized service, and unwavering commitment to excellence. We don’t just craft words—we create thoughtful brand experiences that leave a lasting impression you can see and feel.

Whether it’s a website, email campaign, or social media post, we write copy that speaks to the heart of what matters most to our client’s audience while aligning with their mission, vision, and values, always keeping the bigger picture in mind.

One of the things I’m most proud of is how we’ve helped both emerging and seasoned business owners refine their brand voice, own their story, and confidently step into the next chapter of their journey. From up-and-coming photographers, hair salons, and authors to well-established architects, contractors, and influencers, my team and I collaborate closely with our clients to build authentic partnerships that lead to meaningful results and lasting connections.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
I spent so much of my childhood getting lost in creative endeavors, so it’s no surprise that some of my best memories come from those times.

Whether I was creating rhythmic gymnastics routines on the fly, designing random board games with my friends, or writing heartfelt poetry, I was always coming up with something new.

However, one of my favorite memories is when my elementary teacher laminated the cover of the book I wrote about my first love (gymnastics). There was something so special about seeing and feeling my story in a more tangible way that made it feel like it really mattered.
