Hi Olivia, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Kursiv Organics is a wellness brand launched in March of 2020 and offers high-quality, organically farmed, lab-tested, Minnesota-grown CBD oil, topical products, and newly legal D-9 hemp extract. We provide natural, plant-based solutions to address common health issues.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been an exciting experience! When I first started Kursiv, it was primarily an online business. The regulations around hemp sales were stringent, and it was nearly impossible to find a web host, credit card, and POS processor to work with. As things have opened up with legalization, regulation has shifted some. Interestingly enough, some things have become more difficult. I’m constantly working to educate the consumer that CBD and hemp are not mind-altering substances or psychoactive. It’s a plant product that addresses inflammation. I’m not trying to get folks high; I am trying to help them find a significant tool to help them cope with stress, anxiety, and pain.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
