Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Swan.
Hi Andrea, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story always starts with my parents. They came to America with very little means, in Europe, and succeeded in living the American Dream, including putting their kids through college.
It was my parents’ work ethic that drove me and still inspires me to this day: Work hard is a daily ethic… chipping away towards your ultimate career dreams and aspirations. My dream came through when I took the big bold leap to found Swan Architecture back in 2009. No regrets!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh hell no! Founding a firm for the first time, while giving birth to my first child, when the great recession hit, was a challenge, to put it lightly. Struggles included finding work. The word “hustle” came to life!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Swan Architecture is a boutique firm specializing in luxury single-family new construction, remodeling, and additions. Being licensed Architects, we also can and will take on commercial, hospitality, and civic work when the scope is deemed the right fit.
I’d say what sets us apart is our passion. I am most proud that after 2 decades, my passion for design and creative solutions has only ignited. It’s truly what I was meant to do!
