Today we’d like to introduce you to AP Lit Class.
Hi AP, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I got started playing in my school band. I began playing the trombone and the conga drums. This is what got me connected to music. I grew up listening to Jazz, Funk, R&B, Rock and hip hop music, so it was always natural for me to be involved with instrumentation. Also, my family was connected to Prince, so I was always interested in becoming a musician and a composer.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing is ever an easy process. I was a star athlete, so I was always in sports. That is what kept me from going further into music like I wanted to. Even though I was playing sports every season, I stayed working on my craft as a musician. Somehow I knew I could do both things at once. So when I wasn’t playing sports, I was playing music.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
A Custom Motto was created to allow me to be involved in real estate, which I can create a hub for services to my community and connect artists from all backgrounds. We do media and barbering services for anyone interested. This brand has been around for decades, but the business was founded recently.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I never looked at it as luck. These are gifts from GOD to allow us to be servants of the people. My faith has allowed me to build this establishment so I can make a better connection with others. The point is to have a space where people can have their opportunity to make a difference in their lives, as well as, I.
