Hi Arunpal , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Thank you – it’s great to be here. Firedup pizzeria is a family-owned business with roots that go back to when my parents moved to the U.S. from India. I was born here, and growing up in eden prairie, I watched them build their lives and their business in the restaurant industry. Today, they run a traditional Indian restaurant in Eden Prairie, and that experience really laid the foundation for everything I know about food and hospitality.
My wife and I wanted to take that legacy and try something a little different, something that reflects both our heritage and the diverse tastes of the community around us. That’s how Firedup Pizzeria was born – a place where we fuse bold Indian flavors with classic Italian-style pizzas. It’s been an exciting journey, and we love being able to offer something fresh and unique.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like with most small businesses, the road hasn’t been completely smooth. One of the biggest challenges we’ve faced has been simply getting the word out. Being a new and somewhat niche concept — fusing Indian and Italian flavors — it’s taken time for people to discover us. But as more folks try our food and share their experiences, we’ve definitely seen momentum build. The support from the community has been incredible, and we’re truly grateful for every customer who’s walked through our doors and helped spread the word.

We specialize in authentic brick oven pizzas, but with a twist — we fuse classic Italian techniques with the rich, vibrant flavors of Indian cuisine. From Punjabi Tikka pizza to our kabab special, we offer something you won’t find anywhere else.
We focus on quality over quantity, which is why all of our pizzas are made fresh to order and come in a single, perfect 11-inch size. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, our goal is to give you a unique and satisfying experience every time.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Our commitment to freshness and flexibility has definitely been key — we use high-quality, fresh ingredients and aim to make something for everyone, whether it’s our fusion pizzas, wings, or pasta. But just as important is the focus we place on customer service. We treat every guest like family, and that comes from our own family roots in the restaurant business.
Growing up in a family-run restaurant, I saw firsthand how much it matters to make people feel welcome and valued. That personal touch is something we’ve carried over to Fired Up Pizzeria.
