Hidden Gems: Meet Ashley Sievers of Embrace Orthodontics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Sievers.

Hi Ashley, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Dr. Sievers (my husband) joined Cambridge Orthodontics in 2010 with Dr. Brad Videen. In 2013, we became the sole owners of the practice. It was a pivotal time in our practice when we decided to examine who we really wanted to be and what role we hoped to have in our community. We developed our mission statement: to enthusiastically serve and dependably create beautiful smiles, and identified the core values with which we would operate and filter all our decisions through. At the core of those values was an excellent patient experience.

Using that framework as our path forward, we have developed an EXCEPTIONAL team full of compassion, joy, and excellent skill. Early on, we realized that our greatest lasting role will be with the communities we serve. We take joy and pride in supporting our local non-profits and student groups. Additionally, we have become deeply invested in developing a new dental assistant program at Anoka Ramsey Community College in Cambridge to help educate future dental professionals.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Ha, no. Not always. I remember this time in late 2014 when it hit me that you cannot run a business with your technical skills alone. That was a really significant realization that allowed (forced) us to invest in our personal leadership development and, in turn, in developing great leaders on our team.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are an orthodontic specialty office offering braces and Invisalign. We really stand out for our commitment to both professional excellence and patient experience, as well as our investment in our local communities. Our orthodontists are board-certified in orthodontics, which is rare in our geographical location. We utilized CBCT advanced imaging to create treatment plans that are mindful of the airway, safe for root structure and development, and completely customized to each individual patient.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
We are better together. To provide exceptional care to patients and the highest level of orthodontic care, we must fully support the communities we serve. Healthy communities lead to healthy workplaces and great dental care.
