Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Allen.
Hi Brandon, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My journey to becoming a chiropractor started in the Marine Corps. After my deployment, I had several pains that were severe enough I was in too much pain to roll over in bed. While I tried several modalities to feel better, I was a chiropractor who turned me around in a week and a half. After I joined the Marine Corps, I decided that I wanted to give people their lives back. During chiropractic school, I surrounded myself with greatness. I was mentored by a chiropractor who was an occupational health leader, a sports chiropractor who was often voted best in the country, and worked with a functional neurology doctor who was among the best. While all these high-end chiropractors were training me, one common denominator was the high cost. This made me explore ways of bringing this top-line care to people who may need help to afford the top-dollar price tag. So, I decided to start a mobile clinic. By having minimal overhead, I can provide this level of care to people at a much more affordable price. When I set up in a workplace as an employee benefit or in someone’s home, I bring top-of-the-line care with highly specialized equipment. My “no frills” approach helps people get better quickly, even when they have seen dozens of providers before me.
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to becoming a mobile chiropractor is a challenging one. Templates need to be created to run a business like this. There is no coaching program that standard chiropractors can have. It is all new ground. The one thing that has been my saving grace is my mission statement: If I take care of people, they will take care of me. Most of my new patients come from direct referrals from other patients I have already helped. I take patient care very seriously, and my patients know I genuinely care about them and getting them back to their best lives.
Thanks for sharing that. Can you tell us more about your work next?
My mobile chiropractic clinic serves as an employee benefit and a house-call chiropractor. I serve the north and west metro. I specialize in sports and advanced neurological conditions. I also provide an essential employee benefit to businesses. My fee is based upon an agreed-upon period. This way, you do not get nickel and dimed for individual services. This means if you need advanced neurological rehab or you don’t want to pack your kids in and out of the car, the price is fair, and the care is exceptional. There are many benefits to having an onsite chiropractor, including helping maintain employee readiness, increased satisfaction, and decreased insurance utilization, which reduces company premiums, decreases workplace injuries, and increases employee longevity in their field. This offering has been so sought after I am expanding my business to hire other chiropractors to help serve businesses and business groups across the state. My uniqueness is based upon being a fiercely ethical business owner who always puts the patients first.
What are your plans for the future?
Currently, my plans include expanding my employee benefits offerings to businesses. I will primarily be serving businesses that have 100+ employees. Offerings vary based on the number of employees and the number of locations. There are some services available to companies with as few as 15 employees. There are also a few other potentials, with some professional sports teams interested in contracting for neurological rehabilitation. Part of what makes me an effective provider is being a nontraditional thinker. That also means I often think of atypical business ventures within the field.
