Hidden Gems: Meet Custom Catwalks LLC of Custom Catwalks LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Custom Catwalks LLC.

Custom, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Johannah and Lexie met at their first jobs out of college and became fast friends. They bonded over building a Custom Catwalk for Johannah’s three bored cats. Together they built a labyrinth of pathways spanning three rooms while taking care to maintain the integrity of Johannah’s new home. Since then, they have expanded to include apartment-friendly Custom Catwalks and modifications for cats with special needs.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We launched in March of this year and have been overwhelmed by positive responses. However, our social media presence has room for improvement, especially since we have expanded into product development. Right now, we are working on a simple solution to make cat harnesses escape-proof. We are dedicated to producing the best product and are expecting to release it by the end of 2026.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Custom Catwalks LLC?
We created Custom Catwalks to keep Johannah’s indoor-only, high-energy cats effortlessly entertained. We focus on creating and installing safe and enjoyable indoor-playgrounds for your cats. We specialize in designing and installing renter-friendly Catwalks as well as tailoring our products to your cat’s and home’s needs.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, Johannah was always combining unique materials to solve problems. At seven, she used a pool net pole, a kitchen chair, a basketball hoop, and some rope to create a slow feeder of acorns so the neighborhood squirrels could make it through the winter. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, her mom wanted the kitchen chair back, and her dad needed to use the pool net. However, that didn’t stop her from finding another problem to solve tomorrow.

At eight, Lexie developed her mind for business and started selling stickers with her brother to earn extra spending money. She also enjoyed playing with her family’s cats and built a playhouse for them out of cardboard.
