Today we’d like to introduce you to Jake Robbins.
Hi Jake, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My journey with music started DJing locally in Minneapolis. After diving into the music scene, I created a record label with a few of my friends called “High Caliber Records” and also started managing artists.
I then created Built Different Music Group, a company created to be a one-stop show for artists/brands. Our plan is to grow into a massive entity specializing in Artist Management, Music Promotion, Social Media Consulting, Artist growth, and brand awareness, and also a talent agency.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think one of the biggest obstacles is going to be competing in such a saturated market. I do believe that with the connections and work, I’ve done in the scene thus far, I will have a step ahead more so than others would. Building a company from the ground up can be challenging, but with the right amount of work and dedication, I truly believe anything is achievable.
