Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayeden Christensen.
Hi Jayeden, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
As a young kid growing up, I wanted to be someone who would be helpful and bring healing to others. The thought of being a doctor was in the back of my head, but I wasn’t set on it. I remember when I was a junior in high school, we took a career day to the college in Willmar at Ridgewater College, where we could pick courses to explore. From there, I explored the massage program, which stood out. At the age of 6, I was in an accident that has to this day affected me, which is another reason for leading me into the career. After looking into this career path, I realized this was the perfect option and opportunity to follow through with my goals of helping heal people and making a difference. After college and graduation, I started up my practice, and it’s been the best achievement so far. To this day, I still work for myself, and I’m still loving it!
Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Like everything in life, there are highs, and there are lows! My journey thus far has been a smooth road, but I have not forgotten about the lows, as those lows have helped me grow and get me to where I am today. Covid did have its challenges for my business, as the shutdown did close me up for a while. It was also a lot of unknown for what my future held. I’m so thankful for all the support from my clients I received after I could reopen. Over time, you figure out who will support you as a business, friend, family member, and colleague. You come to appreciate the ones that prove themselves loyal to you. I thank those fantastic people who have assisted in my success thus far.
As you know, we’re big fans of J.U.S.T. MASSAGE. What can you tell our readers who might not be as familiar with the brand?
My business is just run by me solely, which was always my end goal to work for myself. I have been in practice for 6.5 years. I specialize in Swedish and Therapeutic Deep Tissue massage, with a background in relaxation massage. When treating each client, I listen to their needs and focus on them to assist in healing, recovery, and overall well-being for each client. I aim to have the client walk out feeling way better than when they walked in. I’m proud of how far I’ve come in a few short years as I’ve built up this business from nothing! I offer a variety of services apart from just the massage side. I offer cupping, hot stones, ear candling, and foot detoxes.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
My ability to talk, listen, and communicate with people has helped me grow as a business.
