Hi Matthew, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
When I was 9 years old my Grandfather passed away. In his will, he left for me a brand new John Deere wide area mower. I started mowing neighborhood churches, townhomes, and residential lawns. 34 years later I am successful in running my business which has benefited so many people and especially the environment that I am so passionate about making a better place. We now are a full-service tree service and treat 225 lawns with organic-based treatment.
My incredible crew and state-of-the-art equipment make the world a better place every day. Majestic Landcare LLC is the name of my company and our slogan is: Your land… Our care… We have left a legacy by planting hundreds of trees and thousands of plantings and we maintain hundreds of landscapes as well. I love my job which many people say otherwise about their jobs so I am more than blessed…
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The biggest challenge for me now is maintaining a growing small business which has always been the case. There is nothing easy about running a business. It takes all of you and spills into everything I do including family time. I am pleased to be going on a vacation with my lovely wife Kristina to celebrate our ten-year anniversary.
She manages the office, website and developed my website. I am so proud of her and her work. My sons Cody and Traves have also participated in building our family’s small business and their relentless efforts have brought us to the next level. Without my family’s support especially my loving father and mother, none of my business would be possible.
Every day is filled with hard work and dedication to our cause. Even though I am leaving town for our anniversary tomorrow I am taking phone calls and helping clients with storm-damaged trees from the winds today before I leave town. Hard work pays off but you have to put the work in…
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Our goal is to do the work we do at affordable prices with higher quality and attention to detail than the competition. We strive to do things right. Do them as efficiently as possible and create a wow factor whenever we can. We provide Tree/shrub service, landscaping, lawn care, landscape maintenance, and snow removal services. We have A+ ratings and more than a thousand repeat customers.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the natural areas in Maple Grove. The city is behind in there urban forestry management practices. In fact, Maple Grove doesn’t have a city forester. With all the invasive species like European Buckthorn and EAB, our forests need help. Much of the wooded areas have been destroyed by urban sprawl and without urban forestry management our trees and woods are a mess.
