Hidden Gems: Meet Seem Ahmed of Keller Williams Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Seem Ahmed

Hi Seem, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
To start my story, Id like to address what made me who I am today. My parents were first generation immigrants who arrived in the states before I was born. Throughout their journey as Arab/North African immigrants moving from state to state, they had me and my sister. I did not realize how much their/our story would affect my world view. I gained various perspectives and experienced many differing ideologies and politics. Regardless of who believed what, the one thing many of them had in common was business and goal setting. This is what inspired me to become a realtor and to start up my business, with the aim of fulfilling my own goals!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
While the original idea seemed simple enough, it wasn’t. I faced many challenges along the way. Those being financial (how to fund my startup costs/business needs), how to balance my life as a collegiate student and as an entrepreneur, and how to manage my time properly.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a state and federally licenses realtor and agent for the number one real estate company in terms of volume, and units! I specialize in any residential property needs and assisting families and individuals of all kinds in finding their dream home! What sets me apart however, is that while other agents and independent business owners operate with financial incentive in mind, I can guarantee that I will always operate with the incentive of leaving my clients fully satisfied and with full confidence in their purchase and me as an agent. However, I am also not afraid to address potential concerns of my clients and am able to pivot quickly to provide the best match for their needs!

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I would say a lot of bad luck in my personal life and some of the aforementioned struggles which could be considered bad luck gave me massive motivation. Through my struggles and what most would call bad luck, both personally and financially, I was able to find the energy to one day get up and say, “I’m not doing enough”. This single sentence caused by a series of unfortunate events in my life repeated in my head daily. It motivated me to continue my studies, but also to take those first steps towards starting my business knowing I wanted a better future for myself, and knowing it starts with one day at a time. This is when the good luck takes over a bit, as I met really good people, and by searching for opportunities made my own good luck. This led me to KW which allowed me to take that next step in building my brand and offering and promoting my services!
