Hidden Gems: Meet Shea Mandli of Social Butter, LLC and RadarQR

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shea Mandli

Hi Shea, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always had a drive to pursue challenges and explore new opportunities. My journey began with a passion for human connection and community-building, which led me to entrepreneurship. Two years ago, after experiencing a life-threatening event, I made the decision to leave the corporate world, where I had been a top sales rep for multiple Fortune 100 companies. That pivotal moment pushed me to start my own social media marketing business and focus on a career path that aligned more with my passions and values.

When the opportunity arose to collaborate with a revolutionary dating app, I saw a chance to merge my skills with a mission to improve how people connect in the real world. As the VP of Network Development, I focus on sales and marketing strategies that not only promote the app but also create engaging, memorable events for singles across the country. It’s been an incredible journey filled with learning, growth, and the excitement of building something impactful.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s rarely ever a smooth road when you’re building something meaningful, and my journey is no exception. While stepping away from a stable corporate career, it was also a leap into the unknown. Starting my own business came with its fair share of challenges—navigating self-doubt, learning to manage every aspect of a business from scratch, protecting yourself from bad business partners or deals, and staying resilient through setbacks.

One of the biggest challenges I faced was following a life-threatening event that shifted my perspective and motivated me to make a change. Recovering from that moment, both mentally and physically, taught me to see obstacles as opportunities.

There were times when finding clients or balancing finances seemed daunting, but I relied on my experience, my ability to connect with people, and my belief in the value of what I was building. Those struggles ultimately shaped me into a better leader, entrepreneur, and person.

My business, Social Butter, LLC, specializes in creating opportunities for connection, community, and engagement. We provide services such as social media management, event promotion, sporting watch parties, and hosting for businesses looking to strengthen their outreach and brand identity.

One of our proudest partnerships is with RadarQR(where I am a VP now), a dating app that’s reimagining in-person dating experiences. The app uses QR codes and a radar map to highlight “singles hot spots,” showing where singles are gathering and driving foot traffic to partnered locations. It’s a unique and safe way to bring dating back to real-world interactions, and it aligns perfectly with my passion for building connections.

What sets us apart is our focus on creating memorable experiences, whether it’s through a well-executed social media campaign, a high-energy event, or a creative partnership. Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5-10 years, I see significant shifts in how businesses and individuals connect and engage with one another. In the social media and marketing industry, there’s a growing emphasis on authenticity and personalization. Audiences are becoming more discerning, valuing brands that foster genuine connections rather than relying on generic advertising. This trend will likely lead to more brands investing in community-building and interactive, real-world experiences.

In the dating and social connection space, I anticipate a shift back toward in-person interaction, driven by innovations that merge technology with face-to-face experiences. Apps like RadarQR are at the forefront of this movement, encouraging users to engage in the real world while still leveraging digital tools for safety and convenience.

Additionally, advancements in AI and augmented reality could reshape how people discover events, venues, and even potential connections. Imagine walking into a space and being able to interact seamlessly with others who share your interests, facilitated by technology.

Privacy and data security will also be paramount, as consumers demand more transparency and control over their information. Companies that prioritize ethical practices and trust will thrive.

The industry is evolving rapidly, and I’m excited to be part of this movement that blends innovation, creativity, and meaningful human connection.
