Inspiring Conversations with Alexis Tourville of Weft Haus

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Tourville.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my first job out of cosmetology school at nineteen years old in 2015. I was there for almost 5 years, ending my role there as stylist/spa coordinator and moving on to becoming an independent stylist in 2019 at twenty three years old.

From there I learned how to run my own business behind the chair, how to build a clientele, and got my first taste of business ownership. After a few years I decided to dive head-first into the hair extension world in 2021, and obtained a certification with Invisible Bead Extensions or IBE®️ for short, which would forever change my life and career. I learned that becoming excellent at something – truly mastering a skill, can take you to the next level and beyond.

I learned how to leverage myself and how to market my skill using social media, how to attract the right clients, how to use systems within my business to create efficiency, and so much more.

Within a few short years I became a multi six figure earning hairstylist. I learned that through continued education and actually implementing and honing those skills, the sky is the limit. I now hold my Master’s certification through IBE®️ and plan to continue on with their education to become an Elite Artist.

In 2026 I opened Weft Haus, a boutique micro salon in the heart of Rogers Minnesota. I knew that I had so much knowledge to share and I wanted to help other stylists and truly make a difference in their lives and their careers. It has been such an amazing opportunity to help a young stylist grow, and teach her everything that I learned along the way so that one day she can hopefully surpass me and the level of success that I have been able to achieve alone.

I believe that we are stronger together, and hope that I can grow Weft Haus into a community of stylists/extension artists dedicated to growth and supporting one another.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are always obstacles, it’s about how you handle them. Learning a new skill is hard, mastering a skill is even harder. Leaving your comfort zone that feels safe to pursue opportunity feels scary and that can be hard. There are challenges every day with business ownership, anywhere from whoops I forgot the salon key at home to fixtures falling off the wall and patching drywall at 9;00pm after work. I just push myself to keep going and accept that I can only do so much in a day!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a boutique micro salon in Rogers MN specializing in Invisible Bead Extensions ®️ which is a hand-tied weft method. The method can be used with micro wefts or genius wefts, along with traditional hand-tied wefts. The damage free method keeps scalp and natural hair health top priority while also being extremely flexible, comfortable, and practical for clients of any activity level, even athletes.

We are known for creating seamless blends, undetectable hair extensions, our technical skill mastery, and our signature blondes.

I myself have a particular passion in helping women suffering from hair loss or thinning feel confident in themselves again. Hair extensions can absolutely be used for length, but they are also used for fullness and volume! This method is so great for these women because it can be used on the finest of hair types and is still perfectly safe.

Both myself and my co-stylist are passionate about continued education, and hold multiple advanced certifications in extension training and haircolor including Invisible Bead Extensions®️ Master’s of Balyage, Keratin Individual Extensions, V-light extensions, and more.

I would say what sets us most apart from other’s is our focus on scalp health and safety for our clients, and our willingness to learn. We are known to hop on the next flight to learn the latest techniques so that we are always bringing the best to our clients.

I’m most proud of the culture within our space. Our environment is a combination of mentorship, uplifting others, growth, collaboration, and independence.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I haven’t been in Rogers very long, but so far the city feels up and coming. I like the hustle and bustle energy.

I like the road construction the least, and traffic on 101 heading north.
