Today we’d like to introduce you to Benjamin Britton.
Hi Benjamin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Absolutely! Revival Physical Therapy was born out of a desire to provide a different level of care and offer our clients something unique. In 2019, Dr. Peter Stanley approached me, Dr. Benjamin Britton, with the ambitious idea of starting our own practice. Initially, it seemed like a distant dream, but after many discussions and thorough research, we decided to take the leap and founded our company in February 2019.
We started as a completely mobile PT company, bringing our tables, gear, weights, and other equipment directly to clients’ homes or offices. It was definitely a side hustle at the beginning, but as we began to gain momentum, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and we were forced to shut down. Understandably, people were cautious about having us come into their homes during that time.
Despite this setback, we emerged stronger and began collaborating with Dr. Stephen Menya and Leah Menya, the owners of Lions Gym and Wellness in Robbinsdale. Transitioning to a more brick-and-mortar style business, we started seeing clients at Lions Gym and Wellness, which provided us with more equipment, space, and ultimately better results for our patients.
Since then, our business has grown, and we now have a team of three therapists: Dr. Pete, Dr. Ben, and Dr. Maggie, who is our head women’s health physical therapist. We are proud of the journey we’ve been on and excited for what the future holds.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey has definitely had its challenges. One of the primary struggles was establishing our presence and attracting clients. Balancing our full-time jobs and family responsibilities while building Revival Physical Therapy into a full-fledged business was a significant hurdle.
The COVID-19 pandemic posed our greatest challenge. It forced us to shut down nearly completely and reimagine our entire approach. In the early days, the physical effort of transporting all our equipment to each client’s home added another layer of difficulty.
Through all these obstacles, we’ve learned to adapt and grow stronger, which has shaped us into the resilient practice we are today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Revival Physical Therapy and Wellness, we are breaking the mold of traditional physical therapy. Our mission is not just to alleviate pain but to help our clients leave stronger and more capable than when they arrived. We are dedicated to getting people back to the activities that bring them joy, whether that’s running a marathon, playing 18 holes of golf pain-free, or simply being able to play with their kids or grandkids.
We pride ourselves on going a step further for our clients. While we treat general orthopedic conditions, we specialize in working with golfers, runners, CrossFit enthusiasts, and weekend warriors who want to continue their activities without limitations. Additionally, Dr. Maggie leads our women’s health services, addressing issues such as leakage during activities, pain with intercourse, and pre- and postpartum care, among others.
What sets us apart is our commitment to individualized, quality care. We spend ample time with each client, ensuring they receive the attention and expertise they deserve. Our approach is about more than just treating symptoms; it’s about supporting our clients throughout their entire journey to better health.
We are most proud of our brand’s dedication to genuinely caring for our clients and changing the way physical therapy is delivered. We want readers to know that at Revival, they will find a team that is with them every step of the way, committed to their recovery and long-term well-being.
