Hi Bobbie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
FamilyFindsMN started as an idea from my husband as we were sitting at a restaurant for dinner. Food has been and will always remain an important part of relationship building. At every celebration, food is at the center.
We have always been the known foodies and travelers of our circle and often got requests from people on where to eat and what to do.
Having the perfect place to share food during joyous occasions matters and we wanted to share the best places for those experiences. Our blog FamilyFindsMN was birthed from those thoughts and over time became a lifestyle blog focusing on travel, supporting local businesses, and food.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Through the growing pains, we have prided ourselves on sharing REAL reviews. If we are collaborating with a company to promote an event or experience we will only do so if we have experienced the product and it is one we would suggest to our followers. Often people want us to promote something we are not willing to or pay for likes. We promise to always keep it real whether good or bad.

Our family created this blog as a way to share reviews with our followers as well as document our experience as a Black family in Minnesota. We provide reviews on food, entertainment, and travel. We promise to bring you REAL reviews. We pride ourselves on shopping small and shopping locally. If you want to find out about a business down the street, our thoughts on a new movie, what we are doing in California, a list of local Black businesses to shop with, or if you just want a peek into our lives then make sure you are following us.
What started as sharing our experiences evolved over the years allowing FamilyFindsMN to expand beyond blogging into creating events for our followers to attend, partnering with local cities to write travel blogs, and serve as brand ambassadors for various businesses.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck has not played a role. We share what we love so there is not the opportunity for good or bad.
