Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Schaffer.
Hi Danielle, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always been interested in the beauty industry and went to beauty school as soon as I graduated high school. I’ve been a stylist ever since along with going back to school for a bachelor’s in Fashion and Business management. After trying lash extensions myself I knew it was time to open a salon in Hastings that would bring people services not typically found in a small town. I grew up in Hastings and wanted to create a salon that I would have wanted in the burbs without having to drive 30min plus. I truly love my job am so thankful for my salon and all the wonderful clients that trust us with their beauty services. I get emotional just writing about it. I put my heart and soul into every client, and some have been with me for over 20years. Stylists have a very special job. We actually touch people with our hands (something only dr.’s and medical professionals typically do) and are with them for all of lives good and bad times. I’ve celebrated the best days of their lives with them and cried along with them through tragedies. It is a very special bond, and I am so grateful to have been a trusted constant presence in so many wonderful people’s lives!! I learn so much from every client and I hope to teach them a little bit of something every time they walk in my door. I do this because I love it, not just for the money.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
To be honest there hasn’t been many. When you are emotionally invested in something I think it makes it easier to succeed. Another thing is to always continue to learn and grow from past experiences. I’ve been in the industry over 20 years and things have changed a lot since then! Adaptability and resourcefulness are also great qualities to have to overcome challenges. I am a self-made single woman and built this brand with love from the ground up, started small without taking out loans and then expanded once business picked up. When I get overworked or tired, I remember why I am doing this and how many people I help feel better about themselves and it makes me energized and ready to go again!

Vue Beauty Studio is a women owned and operated one stop beauty shop. We bring big city quality and services with a small-town customer experience. We know all of our guests by name and greet everyone with a smile. We offer lash extensions, lash lifts, hair extensions, color, cuts, makeup, waxing, brow services, massage, spray tanning and wedding styling. We are always on the pulse of the beauty industry and bring in new services as they are being introduced. We keep up on education and provide modern quality services at great prices.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Our slogan is look good feel good and that is exactly what we help our guests achieve. When you look good on the outside it gives you power from within!! Your energy is renewed and the whole world seems to change in your favor. We keep it positive at Vue and know that energy is contagious. We guarantee guests will walk out feeling better about themselves than when they came in. We treat everyone how we would want to be treated and are so grateful for all of our amazing, beautiful clients, many who have been with us since we opened the doors in 2019. (We are turning 6 today, June 18th!!)
