Today we’d like to introduce you to Eleece Pink.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up, I always loved fashion and Main streets so from a young age, my dream was to own a clothing boutique. In college, I studied textiles and apparel and learned everything from pattering draping, textile science, business and more. After graduating, I began working for a local family owned clothing company, Heartbreaker, learning the true ins and outs of business in real life. During my time working there, I would spend much of my off time strolling downtown and Main streets throughout communities. This is where I stumbled upon The Stash on Main Street in downtown Waconia. I fell in love immediately with the quaint unique space, the price point of the clothing in Waconia in general. About a year later, I began working at The Stash and now eight years down the road from working there I purchased the business from the previous owner. At The Stash we focus on affordable yet trendy fashion. Our motto is looking fashionable should not have to cost a fortune, and we truly hold true to that statement.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
it was not always an easy road navigating through Covid was the first obstacle, and then last summer we had major road construction and sidewalk construction right in front of our store, shutting our main street down for an entire summer. But we persevered with our amazing customers to still have a thriving storefront in the community.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Stash of Waconia. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
we specialize in having fashion forward, affordable items in the store first and foremost. While we have many staples in classic pieces. We truly try to find fun, unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that stop people on the streets to ask where you got your shirt, for example. Along with the items in the store, we try to create a very positive customer experience having everyone leave the store with a new idea, tip or simple fashion principle, making it easier for everyone to dress at home and boost their confidence while wearing their clothes.
What’s next?
we are really trying to grow our online presence and website to further expand The Stash. It is a large space, so it’s taking time to grow, but with changes to how people shop it’s a necessary improvement.
