Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica.
Hi Jessica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, I’m Jessica Naiberg. I’m an Occupational Therapist and the founder of Berg Therapy, a pediatric Occupational, Speech, and Feeding Therapy clinic in Blaine.
Owning a clinic wasn’t part of my original plan, but life and experience led me here. I spent years working alongside kids and families as a pediatric therapist before stepping into leadership, advocacy, and community partnership roles. Those experiences shaped how I think about care and what truly makes therapy effective.
I’m proud to introduce Berg Therapy to our community, a place designed to support kids, families, and the therapists who care for them.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. The biggest challenge—and the one I’ve taken on directly—is the fight for access. Many insurance networks in Minnesota are closed to new pediatric therapy providers, and families are left waiting far too long for services their children urgently need. As a new clinic, I couldn’t ignore that reality. I stepped into advocacy immediately: gathering data, meeting with legislators, speaking with KARE 11 and other media outlets, and launching a petition that hundreds of families have signed.
I’ve pressed insurers to reconsider their network closures, brought family stories to the forefront, and worked to raise statewide awareness around an issue that has gone unaddressed for far too long. It’s demanding work, but it has defined my role—not just as a clinician, but as a founder committed to driving real, necessary change.
And I’m not slowing down. Until access improves for kids in our community, this advocacy remains at the center of my work.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Berg Therapy?
Berg Therapy provides pediatric occupational, speech, and feeding therapy for children ages 0–18. Our team’s depth of experience is a defining part of who we are—our first three clinicians bring nearly 50 years of combined pediatric expertise, and that foundation sets the tone for the care we provide.
We’re committed to excellent, individualized therapy and to creating an environment where clinicians can do their best work. When therapists feel supported, families feel the difference, and that philosophy shapes our entire practice.
We currently have open appointments, and families consistently tell us how much they value the warmth, skill, and consistency of our team. Berg Therapy is a place where kids are supported, families feel understood, and high-quality care is the standard.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
The people who deserve the most credit are the team members who chose to join me in this work. Starting something new requires a level of trust and belief that you can’t take for granted, and they stepped into Berg Therapy with both. Their expertise, their commitment to families, and their willingness to help build something from the ground up have made this clinic infinitely better than anything I could have created alone.
What we’re doing here works because of them—their skill, their collaboration, and their shared investment in creating a place where kids, families, and therapists feel supported. I’m grateful every day that this is the team standing alongside me.
