Hi Kale, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started KW Outdoor Solutions in 2018, but the foundation for it began long before that.
Previously, I worked for another window cleaning company and quickly fell in love with the work. I loved being outdoors, staying active, and most importantly, interacting with clients every single day. I saw firsthand how much people appreciate a service that not only improves their home but also makes their life easier, especially for homeowners who can’t safely do the work themselves anymore. That client-first experience really stuck with me.
By the time I was in my senior year of college, I already knew this was the path I wanted to take. I began laying the groundwork while finishing school, and once I graduated, I committed fully to building the company.
In the early years, it was about learning everything, including sales, operations, marketing, and customer service, often the hard way. What has gotten us to where we are today is a combination of an incredible customer base that continues to trust us year after year, and building a team that truly cares about the quality of their work and the experience we provide.
We have grown by focusing on relationships, consistency, and delivering results that people are proud of. Today, we are not just cleaning windows. We are building long-term client relationships and a company culture that values professionalism, integrity, and taking care of people.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, especially in the early years.
Like many seasonal businesses, one of the biggest challenges was learning how to navigate the ups and downs throughout the year. There are busy seasons where everything is moving fast, and then there are slower months that force you to plan ahead. Learning how to operate through those seasonal lulls was one of the biggest business lessons early on.
Another challenge was simply learning the business and the market. I was 22 when I started the company, so I was young and figuring things out in real time, and had to establish credibility and trust. That came through consistency, professionalism, and showing up the right way every single day.
There were also growing pains that come with any business. Learning how to lead a team, managing expenses, and refining our systems all took time. I made mistakes, but each one forced me to improve and sharpen the way we operate.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about KW Outdoor Solutions?
KW Outdoor Solutions originally started as a window cleaning company, with a strong focus on exterior window cleaning as well as full exterior & interior service. From the beginning, our goal was simple. Do excellent work and take care of people.
Since then, we have expanded our services to better serve our clients’ homes. Today we provide professional window cleaning, house washing through both pressure washing and soft washing methods, gutter cleaning, and holiday light installation. Many of our clients now rely on us year after year for multiple services, which has allowed us to grow into more of a complete exterior cleaning company.
If there is one thing we want to be known for, it is quality and reliability. When we leave a client’s home, we want them to feel confident that the job was done the right way. Not rushed. Not halfway. Done thoroughly and professionally. We hold ourselves to a high standard because our clients are trusting us with their homes.
Customer service is also a huge part of who we are. We believe communication matters just as much as the physical work. Showing up when we say we will, being responsive, being respectful on someone’s property, and standing behind our work are all things that set us apart. In a service industry, reliability builds trust, and trust builds long term relationships.
Brand wise, I am most proud that we have built a reputation for consistency. We are not trying to be the cheapest option. We are focused on being the company people call when they want it done right.
What I want readers to know is that we truly care about the experience just as much as the result. We are building a company that values professionalism, integrity, and long term relationships. We want to be the team homeowners think of first when it comes to caring for the exterior of their home.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Consistency has been a huge factor in what we have accomplished so far with the business, and our continued success. We strive to rely on discipline, and not just motivation alone. Whether it’s early morning, tough conditions, or long projects, we show up and perform at a high level. Overtime, we have found that that consistency has compounded into strong results!
